Been crunching numbers for the last two weeks.....obsessed with it. Today Cardiff officially bounced everyone below Brighton out of the hunt for autos. Every game another contender or two fall.

No - we can get 27

Yeah 92 pts, Watford can only get 90 , but we only need to get to 91

Palace in 4th have 9 games left as they play tomorrow and can still get 92 points.

For Watford to get 90pts they would have to beat Hull. If this occurs Hull can only get 89pts.

Either Watford get 90pts and Hull get 89pts or Watford get 87pts and Hull get 92pts or Watford get 88pts and Hull get 90pts.

All this suggests we would only need 90pts and not 91pts in order to stay ahead on one of these clubs.

HOWEVER, beware the Palace. But a Palace loss against Brighton and they can only reach 89pts.

Hopefully as of tomorrow night 90pts would be the definitive total to go up.

I said a week ago 88 points and it's all over, i now think that as little as 86 will be enough, we don't need anything like another 16 points. (apart from being champions)

Not every team is going to win All their remaining games,and as posted above ..Palace play tomorrow.

Been a horrible Championship season

Cardiff, Palace, Watford, Wolves, Leicester, Boro and now Forest all looking like Automatic contenders at various points this season.

Think in the 2010 season it was WBA and NUFC with Forest there a little bit and everyone else battling for play-offs.

If Palace don't win it's 16 points, with points dropped by the team in 3rd/4th that's gotta be 14.

4 wins, two draws and 3 loses would be the worst form of the season I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if it only takes 2 wins and 2 draws.

8pts for us would leave Watford needing 5 wins and 2 draws from 8 games. Bearing in mind their poor goal difference it would also leave Hull needing 5 wins and 1 draw from 8 games. Mammoth tasks especially as they play each other.

Never mind the definitive 18pts to guarantee promotion. It will take no more than 3 wins and 2 draws, 86pts.
