Promotion or jacks relegation

Sat Mar 16, 2013 7:58 am

Had an interesting debate in work last night. If the two options you were faced with were....

1) Swans get docked 10 points for an irregularity in the Michu deal which subsequently relegates them, sends him back to the Spanish club, they get stripped of the carling cup and the European spot. But as a result we would finish 3rd and have to take our chances on the play-offs - but still could go up.

Or

2) take a promotion place now and the Jacks continue as they are.

It's not irrelevant, it's very relevant to my question. Don't answer if its too difficult for you.

This was my exact point. But I was in a minority of one which surprised me.

Had four other city fans saying they would take their chances to leapfrog and maintain our major title advantage.

I can't see how anyone would say one, it would be like the whole QPR saga

I think the jacks will be a solid Everton type team in the Premier league, so i would imagine Number 2 would be everyone's option if they had sense.

Seeing as Cardiff going up will mean nothing to me this year I'll take the gypos downfall please. As much as I've fallen out of love with Cardiff I'll never fall out of hatred for the jacks.

Always- CCFC doing well for me - the Jacks are ultimately an irrelevance to how we do.

Us getting up will put this club onto a potentially good financial footing - and its a long time since we've had that.

The Jacks won't survive there long term anyway.

Swansea have done well and credit must be given.

However facts are that if we were in prem our attendances and media coverage would mean they would have even more annomosity towards us.

I want us both in the Prem, I would love to see Newport & Wrexham there too, I love to see all Welsh clubs doing well.
