Joe Mason

This kid is absolute class.

His movement is unreal, creates space for the more technically gifted players.

Might have had a few Carlsberg's but i mean that.

Underrated by many.

Get him in the side Malky. :ayatollah:

I dont think he's under rated.

Just Bellamy and Campbell are better.

Can see what your saying though the kid is immense.

I don't think he is good enough for a top championship team today.

I believe he will be probably be good enough even for the step up, but I can't ever remember thinking the best player, the guy who owned the game was Joe. He is very immature as a footballer, far too weak for his ultimate position as lone striker. He physically needs to get stronger, technically he looks the best finisher at the club.

If we do go up I hope Malky loans him out to a league 1 team for the season so he develops his confidence and strength (I believe the is on a long term contract)

what he offered last season and the goal he scored against blackburn away this yr says he does have it..

unfortunately, for mason, we brought in others who are just ahead in the pecking order.. but there is no doubt mason is still a talented player..

Loan him to a league 1 club? Thank god you are not manager

Whenever Joe comes off the bench, he instantly starts causing problems for the other team. Unfortunately he is unlikely to get a start at the moment unless we have injuries. But he is the sort of quality a promotion team needs to able to call on.

The boy is quality, and I hope we keep him tied to a long contract. He's got the raw talent, and the experience he is gaining from training and playing alongside Bellamy, Whitts etc I'm sure he will continue to develop.

Will be a championship player. Never a prem player. Malky knows best and that's why he's hardly started this year. Hopefully he progresses hugely in the next 18 months.

Yeah hes shocking I agree.

Only ran into space and scored a goal with the composure of a Michael Owen in his prime vs Liverpool in the Carling Cup.

That one goal alone proved he was something special, great movement, great and calm finish.

He has scored 24 professional goals. He will be 22 soon, so not a kid and needs to be guaranteed a shirt every week and knock in a 20 goal season. He will get this in league 1.

I'd agree with that, maybe a championship team if he's going to be played. So the guy scored a goal in a final, djimi traore has a champions league winners medal, as does johnathon greening. Doesn't mean they are good players.

Thought some of his finishes have been class.

Boro away last season.. Blackburn away.. Burnley home..

Not a bad player and still offers loads and he will take a chance when given one! :ayatollah:
