Sheffield Wednesday v Cardiff City: Your match guide

They have not been at their flowing best, but are more than capable of returning with a point, possibly more. My prediction is a 1-1 draw.

' Malky Mackay and Dave Jones '

Sheffield Wednesday v Cardiff City - npower Championship at Hillsbrough (Saturday, 3pm)

Sheffield Wednesday probable (4-5-1)

Chris Kirkland, Lewis Buxton, Miguel Llera, Anthony Gardner (capt), Reda Johnson, Michail Antonio, David Prutton, Kieran Lee, Danny Pugh, Jeremy Helan, Leroy Lita

Subs, from: Stephen Bywater (gk), Martin Taylor, Jermaine Johnson, Rhys McCabe, Gary Madine, Jose Semedo, Connor Wickham, Joe Mattock.

Cardiff City probable (4-5-1)

David Marshall, Kevin McNaughton, Matt Connolly, Ben Nugent, Anthony Taylor, Tommy Smith, Aron Gunnarsson, Don Cowie, Peter Whittingham, Craig Bellamy, Fraizer Campbell

Subs: Joe Lewis (gk), Simon Lappin, Craig Conway, Kim Bo Kyung, Joe Mason, Rudy Gestede, Heidar Helguson, Craig Noone.

Who's the ref?

James Linington (Newport, Isle of Wight).

Has been in the middle for eight matches this season, the first of those in January. He has booked eight players, but has not shown a red.

Was referee for Cardiff's 5-3 Carling Cup win against Huddersfield Town last season, while Saturday' s match is his second Championship fixture of the season. He officiated in the goalless draw between Peterborough and Ipswich.

Opposition man to watch

Swansea City's Leroy Lita, 28, is on loan at Wednesday and could lead their attack in a 4-5-1 system. That's the way Dave Jones has set up his team in the last two matches, albeit for away games. Lita is still a Swans man, while he scored for Birmingham against Cardiff during a loan spell at St Andrews earlier this season.

He has netted three goals in eight appearances for Wednesday, linking up with Connor Wickham in attack when he first arrived at Hillsbrough on loan from Sunderland.

Key stat

9 The number of away wins Cardiff have achieved this season.

Only Watford have more. What a boost it would be if Malky Mackay's team can hit double figures. The Bluebirds have lost only once in their last 10 away matches - at Middlesbrough - and have won seven of those. That's a tidy 21 points from a possible 30 on the road. How they would love to improve that.

Treatment room

Nicky Maynard: Back in training, but won't play again until next season. On the mend from knee ligament surgery, he'll return for pre-season training a couple of weeks earlier than the rest and be ready for 2013-14.

Mark Hudson: An ankle injury, but a different injury to the one sustained at Blackpool. It's the other ankle. Likely to be ruled out at Sheffield Wednesday, but Malky Mackay says he is hopeful his captain be back in contention for the following match against Peterborough away.

Ben Turner: Rolled an ankle in training and he, too, is doubtful for tomorrow's trip to Wednesday. It's not a serious injury and, if is ruled out at Hillsbrough, he should be back at Peterborough.

Ian, If I am honest I am worried on this one, especially as for the first time, I honestly felt Malky is starting to be very negative lately and it does not suit our players.

Malky is starting to panic, talking rubbish after games .....

Luckily DJ is a dinosaur who can't change from his 442 so malkys team of video analysis's should be able to counter him. Another draw
