" RUDY: I BELIEVE IN THIS TEAM "

Wed Mar 13, 2013 5:12 pm

Rudy Gestede spoke with press on Tuesday evening after his late header extended City's Championship lead.

“The cross from Andrew Taylor was excellent for my goal; he’s got a good left foot and all I had to do was touch the ball with my head and the power of the cross helped it onwards," said the striker.

“I am happy to be playing again and scoring makes it even better. Hopefully between now and the end of the season I will get some more game time and we can see what will happen.

“We know we can do better than tonight but it’s still a good point for us. We are top of the league with one match less to play."

While the end goal for Cardiff City is clear, Gestede insists that City’s squad are focussed on putting the past to bed and taking each game as an individual to achieve their goal.

“Understandably the fans are thinking about past seasons but I believe in my team and I believe we have a good squad," he added.

"We are completely focussed on Sheffield Wednesday and after that we will see what happens. We don’t have to think too far ahead or promotion, just take things game by game.”

In fairness he looked the only player who wanted to get something from the game.

Taylor has a great cross on times.. set up Noone for his header, Helguson against Ipswich.

If Rudy believes in this team that's good enough for me, cos I do to.

It's a damn shame the majority on this board don't.

The glass ain't even half empty for most, they can't even see the f*cking glass.

We have no divine right to be promoted, we need to battle for every point we earn.

If you haven't got the bottle to fight you might as well piss off now.

We need fans who will support us through thick and thin at the moment, not whingers who moan at every opportunity.

If you're not up to the fight f**k of and support somebody else...
.. you're not welcome here.
