I tried hard I really did

Wed Mar 13, 2013 4:36 pm

I have tried over the last few weeks to get behind the team as my post on here stated and actually be happy when we score and sad when we lose, but I can't do it. The passion, joy and love of the club has totally gone for me.

I try not to get angry about it anymore as it gets me nowhere but I am 100% done with the club. Regardless of what people may say it's not the club I fell in love with, people who say, "ah but it's still Cardiff City" are kidding themselves I am sorry, Cardiff City play in blue, Cardiff City wouldn't put success before tradition and I was proud to be a Cardiff City fan, I am embarrassed to be associated with what this club has become.

To the people who can put up with the club being ripped to shreds, good luck to you, I hope the Premiership is everything that you are dreaming of and I hope it was worth losing loyal fans to get what you wanted.

I've said before that I wouldn't be posting about it anymore but now I am 100% sure, all my love and pride are gone. Thank you Vincent Tan for ruining a major part of my life. I'm sorry I wasn't the "CUSTOMER" you were after.

Totally respect your opinion on it and I do feel the same. The thing that still grates me is why did this whole re-brand and colour change have to happen? Oh, the Malaysian thing? Right.

Whatever. Doesn't wash with me. He should have bought a red club with just as much potential and less debt than us. Nottingham Forest for example.

He has needlessly created a massive divide at our club and that is what has upset me the most.

This is literally exactly how i feel, couldn't have put it better myself, but i'm not at the stage yet where i've totally given up on the club, though i must admit i'm not far off.

Still can't decide whether to renew my season ticket or not.

Im feeling you bruv.

I was there last night wondering why do I f*cking bother. Im not enjoying it, the fans wind me up, the stadium winds me up, malaysia everywhere winds me up and those red / black flags they wave on the pitch. What the f**k is that?

The colour of our home and away shirts! You didn't think we'd be seeing blue again did you?

Very well put.

When it comes to this rebrand, even some who've been sat on the fence are thinking it's time to stay away.

I did renew my season ticket, however after the Brighton game, and last night was the top hat I will be selling it at face value I have nothing in common with tan's vision.

THIS POST SURELY HITS HOME :(

Re: I tried hard I really did

I can tolerate the rebrand but its nothing to do with the premier league, which quite frankly I don't care about at all. For me it was about the club survival. And yeah I know about the theory that we wouldn't have gone bust anyway and VT wouldn't have walked, but I don't believe that for a second. Each to their own, but we are still Cardiff City whatever you say and one day we will be back in blue.

Good luck to you.

That flag has no identity with Cardiff City whatsoever

Not letting one man and a vision push me away from something I love. Never let him win.

Re: I tried hard I really did

I respect the opinions and agree with many of them but some people I think are just pissed off with the crap football during the last two home games. Can't wait for Sheff Wed. Still a buzz at away games.

Totally and utterly agree with you feel 100% the same.

Top post...mirrors exactly how I feel.

Re: I tried hard I really did

This is what it's coming to. What a sad situation we find ourselves in where some of our fans are now so disillusioned with the club that they are willing to give up something they used to hold dear, and it's all thanks to one man and his completely unnecessary meddling with our identity.

And if that isn't bad enough you even have fellow fans belittling the likes of ElyBlue and Brickyblue, saying that they "won't be missed" and accusing them of deserting the club, that for me is even sadder than the re brand.

Nice but also sad to see others who have the same opinion that I do.

When Rudy equalised against Leicester I felt nothing, when City score I feel nothing. When people talk of top of the league and mind the gap bollox I feel nothing.

The worst thing for me is the fans who put

 or :D icons..

Revelling in other City fans pain. It's a disgrace.

Loyal fans stand by their team no matter what.

'City till I die'?'

I'm not a jack, they sing that awful chant. I am a Cardiff City Bluebird til I die, regardless of results, regardless of money, I am not a Malaysian f.ucking redbird.

PS I am a loyal fan thanks.

We've sung that song so many times over the years.

But not regardless of what colour we wear?

I don't think it's a question of being not supporting Cardiff City if you don't renew. I find it hilarious that those of us not renewing can do no right by those disrespecting our views.

If we renew then we're not being true to ourselves and we are selling out. If we don't renew then we are turning our backs on the club. For me, personally, I only need to stay true to myself. I know my feelings, I know my reasons and I respect those of others. I have no time for anyone slating my decision because it's not their decision to make.

Ely Boy, I said earlier, I agree with you on your feelings and in a way I am in a similar position. I will always support Cardiff and wish them well but I cannot justify being a season ticket holder and giving my money to a man who has shown no respect to the fans or the tradition of the club. I wish people would stop assuming that if you're not a season ticket holder, you're not a real fan.

So if Cardiff City change their name?
