IT MUST BE A HARD DECISION TO MAKE ??

Wed Mar 13, 2013 3:35 pm

Should I or shouldn't I renew my season ticket for those who are against the rebrand, why think about it just do it or don't do it, but trying to hang on till the last mins before you got to, it seems to me like you are just waiting to see weather we stand a very good chance of getting to the prem or not. Thank god we got to renew by the end of March and not the end of the season,or there could of been a big difference in the numbers renewing. I have renewed mine and my 2 boys so weather it's prem or this league i will be there :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's a hard decision to make because of the affiliation with the club and all the talk about further re-brand changes that could be introduced in the summer. For me, it's more than just "support the club or don't support the club". It's much more than that. I will always support the club. Right now, I just evaluate everything and it comes down to the basic fact that I would rather give my season ticket money to my son than Vincent Tan. Especially after the red scarf thing and the whole "we don't need the 25%" comment.

I can totally see why it's a hard decision because for those that are against Tan's plans, they are having to go against every grain of their being. So long as people stay true to themselves then I can't argue with what anyone says or decides. It's diabolical the level of disrespect some people have for the decision a lot of fans are making. That goes for both sides of the argument.

From the clubs perspective, they won't really give a toss who quits and who doesn't with nearly 2000 people queuing up for season tickets from the leavers at the end of The month. We are only numbers now to tan. After all, he knows about business, but f**k all about football.

But there won't be 2000 buying if we don't get to the prem, they will be long gone

I hate to burst your bubble but I know a lot of people who are more likely to renew if we stay down because it's less likely the re-brand changes will be pushed through quicker if we are still in the Championship next season. Maybe you're questioning people's motives because you yourself have only renewed anticipating Premier League football?

Like they say, it's funny how someone who has cheated on their partner before is always the first to make accusations of someone cheating on them? Feeling guilty perhaps? :)

How can you say that unless you know him?

I don't know him. That's why I put a smiley at the end to infer joking/ banter. The question marks also stated I did not know that was how he was feeling.

I have renewed as I cannot walk from a name I still love but personally hope we stay down so that those that are following the club all for the chance of Premiership Glory no matter what have wasted their money.

It doesn't matter to me what division we are in and I will continue to hope that we fail to gain promotion until the day Tan leaves.

God willing, at some point in the future after a return to Blue and the club regains its soul we can grow as a club again in its true sense and possibly reached the Premiership in the correct manor.

Promotion to the Premier League under the clubs current guise would be hollow to me.

All the best.

As much as I see the thinking behind your view, I just can't wish bad on the club's performances. I will keep on supporting the club but just won't be giving my financial support to Vincent Tan as a season ticket holder.

I don't.

I hardly bother going anymore but get a satisfaction in knowing that some little runt cant jump on the bandwagon as the seat is gone.

Ps.

Go f**k yourself.

you are so way off the mark with that mate its because people are right pissed off with Tan and what is normally an easy descion to renew is now made hard by Tan and what he has done.

Most of us on here who are contemplating to renew or not it is nothing to do with if we get promoted or not. It is to do with the fact if we consider it the same club that we have been following over the years.

The OP can seem as much as he likes but the real fact is those that those of us who don't renew is because they don't consider it Cardiff City anymore.

For the ones that don't renew good on them they are standing up for what they believe, whats gets me is the ones that will renew and keep calling the rest of us who are putting up with change at the moment sell outs and so on, well if that is not calling the kettle black I don't know what is

Easy decision, I'm going to support Cardiff City as I've always done. Strange seeing us in red but will get used to it in time, doesn't feel much different to me, just as frustrated as I've always been against Derby & Leicester!!

We are look at it differently.

Personally to me the sellouts are those that renew who show no respect to the identity of the club. To me the identity includes the name Cardiff City, the blue shirt and the Bluebird altogether. Examples being those who say it is just a colour or premier football at any cost. I just cannot accept that.

For calling someone a sellout for putting up with the changes is touch and go. We are referring to reluctants here. Some of these I know are just waiting for Tan to complete his promises such as debt to equity before they start piping up about going back to blue. I can understand this but do feel the need to have some sort of opposition group visible. Another subject that can be talked in more detail but I would not consider this type as a sellout.

Another reluctant is someone who has renewed because they still consider it to be their club although they hate the rebrand. These are guys who want nothing to do with the rebrand and have managed to isolate the rebrand from supporting the team.

I'm sure there are other types of reluctants but whatever they are to call them sellouts is harsh in my opinion.

If they don't think it is Cardiff City anymore then I don't understand why they renew.

However I would say most don't think that way but hate what is going on. Basically they are hanging on to those small elements that they consider to be true.
