Lets not beat around the bush here, we are a good 10-13 points better off than our performances have deserved.
We have been very, very lucky to take 3 points from games were we have been poor and sadly, right at the wrong time of the season, our results are starting to reflect our performances.
I can count on one hand the number of good footballing performances this season. We have no style of play whatsoever, I dont know what Malky works on the training pitch, because we seem like 11 strangers out on the park.
Hopefully we have somehow emassed enough points already to just scrape a few more wins and get over the line but I dont see Malky lasting long in the PL with this footballing philosophy.

Brave post.
After the Leicester game at their place which we won 1-0 I had a drink with some Leicester fans who asked the question how the hell are we on top of the league. When I posted that on here I got slated and was told to go and support the Jacks.
Then onto Birmingham where we were outplayed by the Brummies in the first half but sneaked a goal just before the break. Instead of cheering I laughed at that goal. I just could not believe our luck.
Most of us believed we have a few gears to step up into if we have to. I don't think many believe that now.
Hopefully we have amassed enough points to go up. However it does make you wonder how we will do in the premier.

Ian, we are a good solid unit and do work hard as a team. We stifle teams and then hope to nick a goal.
That in my opinion will only work for so long, and now these 1-0 wins have turned into 1-1 draws, or losses as these close games that can go either way are now starting to go the other way.
With Hudson and Turner then it stands to reason we wont be as solid and thats our platform to build on gone.
We have rarely scored 2 goals or more of a late so now we have started to leak goals then its difficult to take all 3 points unless Malky starts to take some more risks.

Malky won't change a thing, he has a vision of how he sets up his team and how he wants them to play. Watching the team perform at the moment is mind boggling considering the attacking talent the team has but that is naturally being stiffled by his negative tactics.I think he was lucky at Watford to have the likes of Sordell, Buckley and Graham at his disposal, his limited way of thinking is being exposed and i hope it doesn't cost us promotion.

We seemed to have developed a bad habit of conceding first recently ....Brighton,Boro,Derby and Leicester all scored first!
Previously in the wins against Birmingham,Bristol City,Wolves,Blackpool,Leeds we had scored the first goal meaning we didn't have to take risks and could play in a compact manner.
For some reason , Malky has abandoned the high tempo starts we showed earlier in the season where we would press and hunt down the ball all over the field at home ? It is almost as if he has reverted to a more safety first approach especially since the Brighton game where we got mugged of the 3 points.

We will get absolutely battered I'm not sure we will be promoted, some tough games coming up Bolton forest hull Watford.if we do make it I would replace malky.

Malkys whole philosophy seems to have been to sneak a goal then put men behind the ball and defend a one goal lead and its worked due to hudson being in such outstanding form
ive been to every game home and away this season and keep saying to fellow supporters we are due to start battering sides from now on and its never happened

My thoughts exactly, picks the the wrong team if you ask me, Malky's got a reasonable squad to choose from seems reluctant to pick his flair players, rather play the grafters.Needs to stop playing players out of position,Connolly not a full back,Cowies not a winger especially as there's plenty of alternatives.

Very honest and true reflection of CCFC current situation on the pitch, and agree even if we do scrape across the line into the PL I fear what would be in store for us next season

So if we get promoted to the top flight for the first time in 50-odd years, you'd sack the manager? Nice logic!

Malky Mackay believes experience is key to promotion for Cardiff
Cardiff City have the experience to clinch promotion to the top flight, according to manager Malky Mackay.
