I say this because we now have the pressure of the whole season bearing down on us and the hopes and fears of every Cardiff City supporter. We have all been here before and we know what it feels like to have that ticket to the promised land ripped from your grasp! Dave Jones would like nothing more in this world than to derail Cardiff's hopes of an automatic spot. I'm sure he still feels a bit of resentment towards the club as several fans made it clear they didn't like him.
Sheffield had a bad run at the beginning of the season but although they sit 18th in the home form table having won 2, lost 2, and drawn 2 they have improved greatly of late overall. In the last ten games they have beaten Brighton, Hull, Palace, Leicester, and Charlton drawing against Birmingham Derby and Wolves. In fact in the last ten games they have only been beaten by Watford and Forrest! They currently sit one place above us on the overall form table.
On a positive note we are top of the league (not by chance) and 2nd (after Watford) on the away form table having won 4, drawn 1, and lost 1 of the last 6. We have a mentally strong group of players with everything to play for and a tenacious manager. We just need to hope we can put our poor home form behind us and pick up where we left off away.
I'm sure whatever happens our next fixture will be no pushover but our team will be up for the challenge!
