It now appears to be right. Many pointed to Nugent, but as it is at the moment - he shouldn't be anywhere near this team. I'm a big fan of his and he's got potential, but he shouldn't be in there right now.
We should have had a decent cover for CB throughout the season - for all his faults, Gerrard couldn't have done any worse tonight.

No excuse to go through two loan windows and a transfer window and come out with only one truly good centre back who has never completed a full season without a spell on the treatment table in the final third of the season.

Disgraceful lol? bit harsh, but agree maybe he could have brought in another centre half to cover. Lets not get ahead of ourselves now. If we play well Saturday and win then all this will be forgotten

Oh shush. People moan about money/debt, we have a good set of players at the back. In my view I think its very harsh to pick on Ben Nugent at the moment. He really has been thrown into the deepend and is doing very well for a guy who has spent most of his time playing development games. Other than that, today taylor and connoly were some of the better players on the park.
Loan players do actually cost money.
We are top of the league STILL! yes we played bad over all, but so have most of the top teams in the devision! Did anyone watch Hull on Monday night? They were shocking, much worse than us tonight, yet because they got 3 points no one mentions it. We played a very good team tonight with a back four which as I have said in another thread is very much a third choice back four (position wise)....we got a point! God knows what it would be like on here if we lost.....

we have one of the best defensive records around. If Hudson and Turner are both out for saturday i expect we might loan someone in.
