Compass contract

Wasn't Compass involved with the horsemeat issue and therefore surely that's an excuse for the contract between them and the club to be ripped up ?

You would think but if only 25% of us are against Compass then its good business sense to keep them according to Tan

I work for compass and the horse meat scandal was to do with the food compass produce. The food that they sell at the CCS is not produced by compass themselves, but by other suppliers and just cooked from frozen.

That maybe true but you can't hide from the fact that Compass like other retailers SHOULD have done their own checks on the products they were selling long before the issue come to light. This could have been the get-out clause which the club have been waiting for yet nothing seems to have happened

So what your saying basically is 40% of all beef products that are produced and sold in this country are a problem for solely compass. The FSA (Food Standards Agency) are there for a reason but did not do thier jobs. So compass are the last people you should be blaming quiet simply!

Re: Compass contract

You clearly didn't read my comment as I stated 'Compass like other retailers'. I have supplied many members of staff to the food supply chain over the years and I can assure that you there are hardly any checks by the retailers yet are quiet happy to sell the product without no questions asked. There is no doubt that the retailers must share some of the blame on this issue for simply not doing their checks just to save money.

Totally agree with that. They are all defending themselves with the "I didn't know it was horse meat". Well if didn't know was a defence now, does that mean a drug dealer can happily sell coke if he labels it as lemon sherbet and when the coppers come round just blame it on the suppliers?

At the end of the day, the amount of meat these people were buying they had to know and if they didn't then it's because they are incompetent. Either way - didn't know is no defence. Bet you they all get away with it though.

So your one of the spotty little runts that keep us waiting for a food ages whilst you are f**king about behind the service counters whilst we are trying to get our orders and get back to watch the game as fast as we can ,the service is worse than the food I only get a coffee but have to run the gauntlet and leave my seat ten minutes prior just to have a chance of not missing too much of the game.
