Loved my few months in the Falklands a couple of years ago.

Very unique place, some of the bars in Stanley are like walking into someone's home. No beer on tap, just cans and shorts. Just long life milk, hardly any trees and a good few chilians around. But beautiful islands and wildlife you can't get close to elsewhere. Elephant seals the size of a ford escort, and penguins by the millions!

I can't wait until they get to the oil!!! The share price in Falklands Oil and Gas has hit rock bottom since November!!! Maybe this election result will turn it around

Did a few spells down the Falklands, very unique place. And, unlike a lot of places in the UK the islanders actually treat British troops well and are glad to have you there.

Spent the best part of a year in Falklands/South Georgia during 2 tours in ther very early 80's.

SG was brilliant - no-one else there bar us and were able to explotre the numerous "ghost towns", as for FI itself very barren but very British. We knew at that time the war was all about the oil that was expected to be found.

Time for the Argies to do one!!!
