" THE RUN IN: IT'S UP TO ALL OF US "

" CARDIFF CITY V LEICESTER CITY THIS TUESDAY NIGHT 7.45pm ( YOU CAN PAY ON THE NIGHT ) :ayatollah: :malky: :ayatollah:

With Watford and Leicester losing and Crystal Palace being held by Leeds, Saturday was kind to Cardiff City, even though we didn't kick a ball. But we all know full well that we can't rely on our rivals to assist the Bluebirds cause during the final weeks of the season.

Forgive the cliché, but every game counts and every one of you are just as important. This isn't a time to stay at home.

Quite simply we have six home games remaining and need big numbers and big support for each vital match. If we get that, added to with your fantastic and regular support on the road... well, who knows what we could be celebrating?

In short, it's time to act, it's time to step up. We very much hope we'll be seeing you for every game, starting with a big one on Tuesday night against the Foxes. Spread the word, bring a friend and help regularly fill Cardiff City Stadium.

It may have been a football free weekend for Cardiff City, but behind the scenes we've been busy preparing for a big Tuesday night when fellow promotion challengers Leicester City look to prevent a league double at an important stage in the season.

As games go, we've seen some exciting 'City v Leicester games in recent years, both in league and cup competition. And with the Foxes loudly banging the drum on bringing a large travelling contingent of fans, along with their need to bounce back from the weekend defeat at home against Sheffield Wednesday, Tuesday's 7:45pm kick-off is one to make a concrete addition to your diary.

Malky Mackay has confirmed that Craig Bellamy and Mark Hudson are in strong contention to return to action on Tuesday, the pair having missed Cardiff City's last home game against Derby County.

"Craig had a few days away for rest and recuperation but he'll be okay for Leicester," Malky said. "He's a player who works to keep his body in amazing condition and he will be involved on Tuesday. Mark Hudson, too, has made good progress after injury and will be back in full training and in the squad for the Leicester game."

Malky has also responded to local press calls to leave Peter Whittingham out of Cardiff's next few games, rightfully citing the long-time influential 'City midfielder as a key component.

"Peter is extremely professional who sets high, high standards in his football," Malky said. "Other Championship teams would like it if they saw he was not in our starting line-up, giving the opposition a lift and that's not something we wish to do.

"Peter is among the best players in his position in Championship football. He is and will continue to be one of the first names on my team sheet. Peter is an excellent professional who is able to maintain high levels of consistency and has shown that since I came to this club. He's a fantastic person, somebody I think will play at the highest level."
