Cardiff City winger Craig Conway has backed the Bluebirds to bounce back against Leicester, saying Fraizer Campbell is the man to fire them to the Premier League.
Malky Mackay’s men have only won once in four Championship outings and are still reeling from their surprise 1-1 draw at home to Derby County on Tuesday.
With rivals and pundits seemingly queuing up to put pressure on the Bluebirds, 27-year-old who has started boxing training this season, has come out fighting, saying: “We are still confident.
"Throughout this season we have been consistent and we are all keen to get back on track against Leicester. We keep saying it, but it's true."
With the big prize of the Premier League ‘promised land’ on the horizon, many Cardiff City fans are already reaching for their calculators to see how many wins are needed to guarantee promotion.
But, despite insisting Malky's Mackay's squad are not on the ropes, the feisty Scot warns against looking too far ahead, saying: “The only game that counts now is Leicester at home.
“If we try to go beyond that and thinking too far ahead, we are in danger of tripping up. There is no talk a of promotion inside the camp. It's too early for that. The fans will work out how many wins are needed and that's great for them, but we'll leave that to people outside the dressing room.”
But the former Dundee United man heaped praise on the Bluebirds fans who have turned up in their thousands to support the table topping team at home and away this season.
He said: "Cardiff supporters have done a great job for us this season and they are such a help. They travel away in big numbers their singing and chanting lifts all of us.If they can keep that up, and I'm certainly they will, it will be a huge lift for all of us."
