The best way to peacefully protest against Mr Tan's plans is also simple:
"WEAR BLUE AND SING 'BLUEBIRDS' AT CITY GAMES."

We started wearing the Bluebird badge in 1969, as the 1969 season was the first season teams started to wear a badge on their shirts. The crest as displayed in the OP's post first got worn in 1985 I believe.

Cheers, thought it was in the eighties. When i first started going it was just a plain white circular patch, with the bluebird on it, that i take it was from 1969 then.

Also regarding the song, wouldn't it be good if we changed the words slightly to - "you are my bluebirds, my only bluebirds, you make me happy when skies are grey"

has cleared the mist from many eyes. We don't have to go nuts, we just have to keep supporting the team as we always have, don't buy the merchandise, keep on wearing our old blue shirts, scarves hats, keep singing "blue army, Bluebirds", etc
