I never thought I would say this about Newport fans

But fair play over the last 15 years their fans have stayed loyal and followed their club through hell and back.

Wrexham and Newport back in the league would be great for WELSH FOOTBALL. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

" Newport County Board Salute Fans "
Wednesday March 06, 2013
Newport County AFC Chairman Les Scadding and his Board of Directors have paid tribute to the Amber Army of travelling fans who were at Edgar Street last night for the thrilling 3-2 victory over Hereford United.

Les said “The support we had last night was amazing and the players really appreciate it. The numbers that turned up and the atmosphere they created was phenomenal. It felt like a home game and it was almost like they sucked Robbie Willmott’s late winner in.

The Board of Directors would like to thank you all for your support”

Since I've been following City, Newport have never really been on my radar. It's be great to have them back up somewhere near where we are for another proper derby. It's a strange feeling, I wouldn't go as far as saying I "cheer them on", but am happy to see them doing well... so I can hate them if/ when they get here.

I would never Cheer them on as I know how much they hate us. Just feel their fans now deserve League football for their loyalty for the last 15 plus yrs :ayatollah:

They fookin hate us. I watched them v Wrexham and speaking to their boys afterwards they prefer the Jacks to us.

Little town syndrome?

A derby against them would be proper ;)

Oh but good atmosphere, standing up I almost enjoyed it .... Now which roooond aboooot do I have take to get to Sardis Road?

The hatred Ian goes back to the 70's with them. Yes the late 70's and all through the 80's was really mad with them, more than just football
