what is the minimun age to be searched

im in the family stand and got searched last night,under a little protest as it was derby,hardly a hostile game,i went into the ground,only for my daughter to get searched,she is 17,again i was going to protest but both myson and daughter asked me not to......do i complain to those in charge?

Really not sure what it is My boys were search in an airport when 13 years old I was asked to be present because they were under 16 . I had no problem at all with it as they were just looking after the safety of the public I would just let it rest if if was me

Anyone can be searched if reasonable suspicion dictates. As for random searches like that the security should have asked her age to ascertain if she is a minor or not and for your permission if the age falls into the minor category.

There is no age limit, but there are procedures, if the person is a minor, then the parent or adult in charge should be asked permission, refusing permission could lead to be turned away.

does seem over the top, but legislation covers this, otherwise you'd have kids carrying drugs guns etc for their parents in all sorts of areas, football is not one of concern, but the law still applies.

I know it's any age at the airport but guardian must watch.

I don't think a 17 year old is counted as a minor.

In situations like this i think a good parent always puts the family first.

Thats why whenever i come back from a family holiday abroard i always strap all of the class a drugs ive gone over there to buy round the waist of one of my kids. If i got caught it would be no xmas presents for the rest of the kids so thats out. Plus if the nipper got caught he gets a lighter prison sentence. Win win all round.

Remember years ago going away to Mansfield in my early teens, think I travelled with Gwyn. Stewards let all the skin heads, piss heads and general mutters through but stopped and searched me. Think I was about 13. My old man and uncle 'flicker' were not best amused and made the stewards fully aware of it.

Gwyn is right stewards should always ask the age and have permission from the parent and they should be present , also just as important it is female steward search female stewards and male on male except for bag searching.

The reason it was being done last night at the family stand was a couple of stewards were being assessed for their NVQ nothing to do with who we were playing or any security risk this happens now and again even though its a low graded game.

Since I started going to away games when I was 14 I was always searched, didn't bother me though as I could understand why they did. Bit strange searching those going into the Family Stand at a home game though, never seen that before.

What is the maximum age to be searched? I have not been searched since Newport County away in Division 4 in the 80s (Apart from Wembley).

I can remember being searched at Ninian Park when I was in high school though.
