We will not be promoted

Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:06 pm

Too many players out of form (most of our midfield), some not good enough anyway. Not scoring enough goals and haven't done so for months. Barely any creativity. We have been worked out and either MM doesn't know now to react or we haven't got the players. I suspect a bit of both.

Play offs beckon where we will go out with a whimper.

I am pissed off.

Love a bit of positivity...

Still five points clear with a game in hand.

We beat Leicester on Tuesday and we'll still be five points clear with a game in hand but there'll be less games to play which in effect is worth more points.

You could make lots of money if you actually think this is true. My guess is you are just annoyed.

Doom and Gloom alert, 5pts clear game in hand

I can see that you are being accused of being a doom and gloom merchant but you are spot on. That for me was the worst performance of the season. We looked disjointed, rusty and tired and far short of a promotion chasing team.Hopefully we will have Bellers and Hudson back soon to steady the ship. :ayatollah:

23 other teams would love to be in our position ;)

The only small glimmer of hope I had when leaving the ground was that Hudson and Bellers may just save us. For me though we have far too many players out of form including those on the bench. Doom and gloom yes but unfortunately it's based on what I can see in front of me. Why are people getting excited over a game in hand when it's more an likely we won't even win it.

2 of which will soon be above us. It gives me no pleasure to say it either.

Did you see anything positive tonight?

Re: We will not be promoted

Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:32 pm

im not taking the piss, but being a realist

We will finish 3rd or 4th, and lose out in the play offs to leeds utd or something!

Todays preformance was piss poor, if we had played the likes of palace they would have beaten us 5 or 6 nil easy!

Re: We will not be promoted

Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:34 pm

We have several players that can come into the team.

Lets say next week we play

--------------Marshall------------------

Connolly Nugent Hudson McNaughton

-----------Mutch Gunnarson----------

Noone ---------------------------- Kimbo

------------Campbell Bellamy -------------

That's got a 50% changed side with players that'll be busting a gut to get a regular spot in the team.

You're right on both counts. Odds are Watford 11/2 Hull 11/1 Palace 20/1. I've put a few quid on each to win, any one of which will cover the others. Easy money.

Agree with it being our worst performance, by some way too!

It's the same players though that have got us to the top, we haven't had any really poor performances for a while, so I give the players the benefit of doubt.........Malky too, cos that was a Dave Jones performance tonight waiting for us to concede before making changes when it was crying out for something different. :malky:

It was huge missing Bellamy & Hudson tonight, we had no leaders on the pitch, we need both back quick & we're still going up as Champions!

Two full backs who aren't up to it going forward. Mutch can't even get on the bench as his form is so bad, Gunner couldn't even find a City shirt to pass to tonight. Noone has been poor for months but I hope his goal will enable him to kick on. Shit I'm depressed.

Taylor not up to it going forward? :? That's the one part of his job he actually can do...

Noone came on and changed things today and Mutch has had several weeks without a game so we have no idea what his current form is. He could be busting a gut to force his way into the team regularly. We just don't know.

Sorry by fullbacks I was referring to the 2 you had showed in Connolly and super Kev. I'd love you to be right about Mutch as we are desperate for some dynamism in midfield but I suspect we won't even see him for the rest of the season. Not even on the bench.

Didn't think it was that bad, we've played better and lost. We just need to get one win back, starting with Leicester and the momentum swings in our favour

Opinions I suppose but I'm surprised as I thought it was the worst I've seen us all season. Ill be amazed if we beat Leicester. Amazed,

What's changed is Palace and Watford are flying and gaining momentum whilst we are falling away. The only thing between us and 3rd or 4th place is time.

I reckon 3rd place and the play offs this season, it will still have been a good season and a good effort . Watford as champs and Palace runners up :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:
