Fan survey on the rebrand?

When they said:
"In the coming weeks the club will initiate a fan consultation process from which a working group of supporters and club representatives will be formed, looking at key areas of future brand development. During this process ideas and opinions will be canvassed from a wide range of supporters via an extensive online survey, using our existing database. This will include both season ticket holders and non season ticket holders from all areas of the stadium. Discussions on kit and crest developments will be based on existing parameters. From this survey, working group delegates will be randomly selected from those who would like to constructively and openly talk about each area in depth with club officials. We will also be contacting the Cardiff City Supporters Club and the Supporters Trust concerning the delegates they would like to attend. The findings of the online survey will then be discussed in length at the initial meeting, helping us to map the way forward. The club can then work on these areas with a view to presenting progress via a second session. Then, after positive plans have been established and agreed, a shortlist of options can then be broadcast and ultimately decided by supporters at appropriate times for each area."

What they actually meant was:

"In eight months time, we'll offer each fan a free red and white scarf. If the majority accept them, we'll take that as a mandate to carry on doing whatever we like with the club's identity."

That makes sense.

There is a difference between moaning and believing something needs to be done, you can take the apathetic approach if you want but don't moan when the club is unrecognisable (which is basically is already)

We always have been.

Why do you care what other fans think of us?

I don't think we have. We've never been liked, but we've always been respected as a fan base.

That respect has gone. Give as many reasons as you want, but clubs should not trade tradition for cash. Lts be honest, if it was another club and not us, we would all be calling them a bunch of sell outs. :thumbright:
