Your opinion on how well we have performed this season?

How well do you reckon we've done this season? I just want some ideas of people's opinions

We are top, so we've done fantastic

Fantastic that we are top of the League but i'm dissapointed that we lost to bottom clubs Bristol and Peterborough.

5 points better than everybody else.

So far but very worried we will do our usual end to the season

Doing well in a poor division. If we go up, we are going to need 6/7 players

We have done very well so far. Just a bit worried that the slight blip over the last three games does not turn into the usual collapse. Strange season, though. Playing in red, free red scarves, and all this nonsense about changing our name. The three relegated clubs have not done well this season. Nobody like Newcastle, or even WBA or WHU. If we do not go up, automatic, this season, then we never, ever will. If we keep our nerve, we should be OK. Famous last words? Hope not!

The best of a very strong division. The reason we are doing so well I believe is the league is tighter this year and other teams are taking more points off each other than before.

people are always using performances in europe to back up this claim..... what will people say if Real Madrid and Barca go out of the champions league in the next few weeks.....?

I disagree, its stronger. Look at the players on offer and you'll see its the case. Vicente for Brighton, the players we have like Maynard and Campbell and Bellamy. Players like Smith who were Premier League last year. Zaha being signed by United because Ferguson said he's extremely talented. Has he ever taken a proper punt of that sum on a Championship player before? No, Arsenal have but for Ferguson himself to sign a player for a substantial amount proves the difference. Then you look at the ridiculous loan signings such as Watford have pulled off and a few years back you'd never have seen players of this quality *Bellamy excluded* in this division. The Championship is full of players now who can ply their trade easily in the Prem and the step up isn't so difficult.

Players like Allen and Britton making the step up. Le Fondre banging them in for fun. People can bang on all they like about the Premier League being weaker but Chelsea are current European Champions. I dont care how they did it, they won it and thats all that matters. The Premier League has not got weaker at all, its just players in other leagues are surpassing all time great status and setting new records and people comparing the Premier League with them. Hazard, Kagawa, Aguero, Silva, Toure, Vidic, Kompany, Bale, Vidic, Suarez, Rooney, Van Persie, Mata, etc.

The Jacks and the baggies are 8th & 9th would they really terrify you (forget the shame of losing to them)

Reading went on a freak run last season to get promoted but admittedly took their chance. West ham and Southampton will probably survive.

In my opinion we've played terrible in most games. Most of our away wins (besides Blackburn) have been digging out results, showing no superiority and just grinding the wins. Not exactly champions quality, especially against the shitty teams.

Home games have gone better, but even so, the 4-0 against Burnley felt average. There's no amazing tactics, it's just standard stuff. I want more good football to be played. Plus the recent draw and loss at home dented an otherwise 99% record, so they need to start making the most of the home advantage.

Performance out of 10: 7

Satisfactory, that is all. Bottled an 11 point lead, currently only 5 points clear, where we may not even win the game in hand, so a loss and a draw could really ruin our season. They can only afford about one more defeat this season. If they don't finish the season as champions, this years campaign has been a complete disaster.

No, that shows that the British sides are beginning to under perform in recent European years and are beginning to lose the argument that the Premier League has the best quality in the world.

It has in no way any impact towards events that happen in a Premier League season. It's all about form. There's European form, then there's league form. Manchester United ended 2010/2011 with a Champions League final defeat, then found themselves knocked out of the group stages of the next seasons campaign in the same year. Had nothing to do with a lack of quality, just form.

I think the championship is as strong as ever.

I think the gap between the champ and the prem has been cut back by some distance tho.

As for the original question we have been very efficient without being spectacular but that's what was needed.
Consistency and a strong core to the team.

don't think the performances has been of a great standard, we have won a lot after a lot of grit and determination when playing not so well (sign of champions win when not on top form) been a few exceptions e.g wolves at home and Blackburn away where we played breathtaking attacking football, most times its defensive cautious malky hoofball but it gets results at the end of the day but been odd few we have drawn and won where we should of lost imo but league doesn't lie and we are top

The championship is it strong this year. We haven't been great and still lead it by 5 points. Our closest rivals are hull, Watford and crystal palace

We have been the beneficiaries of prem clubs being in turmoil once relegated. If we go up we need a near complete overhaul of players to try and stay up.

The best in a very average championship this season.
