Hammam/ Tan both Dictators

Sun Mar 03, 2013 11:32 am

Nothing wrong in Dictators as long as they invest and do it the right way.

Sam was a Dictator, you all loved him at the time and followed his every word.Albeit he proved to do it the wrong way.

Vincent you slag off for being a Dictator, but lets look at it, he's no different to Vincent albeit he's doing it with investment and the right way.

Come on we can't have one rule for one and one rule for another.

Tan's the Man.

Annis,

Vincent listens. But what he doesn't do is react to the small minority.

Sam is history, yes he did well, he raised us, but in reality he had the same vision as Vincent. He changed the badge, he harked on about Welshness. He saw the branding required. He couldn't finish the job and if he had been a listener he wouldn't have brought about Peter Ridsdale!

Sam did it his way and did not listen in reality, he just liked to let you think he did. Vincent has more strength and power and see's the bigger picture.

They both want the same thing - Profit

This is a never ending story, Tan will eventually sell to another "dictator".

I can only think of John Hall, Jack Walker and the guy at Wolves as genuine benefactors, already a generation ago. The rst are investors

I used to work with a New Yorker called Richard Tater who we called Dick Tater. He had a mate called Benny Factor. Did I mention that I fingered Lucy Verasamy before she was famous? Mmmmmmm. Juicy Lucy.

I think it is very true that Sam Hammam and Vincent Tan have both had very similar visions for this club.

I have no idea if Sam was a listener or if VT isn't, but at the end of the day they both saw the potential in this club and its about time that potential was realised.

Sam wanted us to play in green!

And he genuinely believed that Swansea fans would support Cardiff in the Premier League!

And he loves us all and we are his family.

And he would never sell Earnie - he said so himself!

And we would be bigger than Barcelona.

In my experience people in positions of power can become dictators, not all mind, but some start to believe that they are more important than they really are and believe everything they say is the law in their own mind. :) ;)

David Owen did a piece on this and it was an excellent read. At the time of his writing Blair was prime minister and he used the Labour leader as a prime example such as the war in Iraq.

Its quite frightening that a democratic society can lead to a dictator.
