I know that they had one of the lads with stuff from reading and arsenal as well.

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 2:05 pm

Most of the lads involved are lads i know, ok fighting at football is naughty, but the lads
didnt just see another group and think 'f**k it lets ave em' The Southampton fans were
giving it large, then got seen off. If not one Southampton lad was charged, please note
young R*** on the left with the white hat on, he did zip, nada, nothing. He got 14 months
an it was his first offence. How does that work??

I'll tell you how, the smiley friendly FI Cardiff coppers thats how, they were gagging to see
these lads banged up. One of the youngsters Dad is a very good mate of mine, one of 'our'
coppers hates him, so will have shot his load when the son got 14 months too

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 2:10 pm

You can see that the lad with the white hat on does nothing he is just there, looks like the age old guilty by association :o

Re: jail

Lets put this in context.

Last week my 65 y old uncle was standing outside his local pub looking out for a taxi. This bloke walked out of the pub and for no reason headbutted my uncle breaking his nose. The front of the pub is covered by CCTV. The police wasn't interested and they told him he'd have to go to the police station the following day. He did that and after lots of 'yeah but this, and yeah but that' the police said the best they could offer was for them to go along to that blokes house and warn him not to do it again.
The pub have banned that bloke mind because apparently he's attacked people for no reason several times before. So some sort of justice there then.

You want to look at taking out a private prosecution against this guy. If you have the CCTV evidence then a private prosecution will force the police ot take you seriously.

Yes he could dothat but you have to fund private prosecutions yourself and more importantly as the police advised the worst that bloke would end up with is a caution. A lot of pissing about just for caution.
I'd rather wait until I see him at a footie match and ask him nicely to stick the head on me there. That way he'll go down for 14 months.

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:34 pm

back about 6months ago, me and my mate got a serious beating from a group of boxers who were out on the piss, they hit a girl so we stuck up for her and took a pasting from 6 of them.

spent night in hospital, and then next day giving statements. copper interviewing me was more intrestd in poping out for a fag, and ringing his mate to see how the egg chasers werre doing in the autumn international that day.

they even viewed the cctv and the guys were litrally bouncing up and down on my mates head.YET NOTHING WAS EVER DONE!!!!

the story above made me think of this, and the fact nothing was done to the guy who attacked your uncle, doesnt suprise me at all sadly as i have experienced it first hand

I'm not too sure if you have to fund it. A different story but the same priniciple was my mate around the corner from me, a Cardiff City fan and a prosecuting solicitor, took our local GP surgery for a private prosecution. Something to do with the way they handled his daughter at the surgery with reference to MMR jab. Another story but the whole episode was a criminal event.

Anyway my mate called in the police and after a talk with them told them ot leave his house as he felt they were not doing their job. Basically flobbing him off like the stories we are hearing in this thread. He took out a private prosecution against the surgery and the CPS ordered the police to do an investigation. The whole process cost him £25. Worth looking into.

Why are you proud?

Footage made me feel ashamed if they are anything to do with CCFC, they dont represent me in any way! Just football hooligans or maybe just hooligans. If they behave like that on the streets they are now in the best place.

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 5:52 pm

in my opinion they should never have been jailed for this

it didnt look like there was any bad injuries there or no innocents caught up in it

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 6:10 pm

All this bleating about the sentences imposed is really pathetic.

If you don't want to run the risk of arrest and a custodial sentence then don't break the law - or associate with those who do.

Simple really.

Ever thought of going to a game, enjoying a few beers and then going home - without needing to assault anyone who supports a different side?

It's against the law, so yes.

Your point is?

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 6:26 pm

your spot on mr trendy, there is far to many people wearing gear and if it comes there way not have a clue what to do, or just talk to OB thinking they are something specail. at the end of the day these were young lads ye? who as a young lad had aggression in them and wanted a tear up EVERYONE, but in some peoples day on here it was easy, no cctc etc. well these young lads still feel the same things the older lot used to, have they attacked innocents? NO, have they beaten old men up? looked at imgages of child porn, which happend the to a guy by me, he had.....community service....yet these lads who fort someone who wanted it got that??? how can this be justifiyed? if innocents involved ok it is different, but it was lads on lads, my opinion judge should have said, right you have a chance now you seen what its about, get out of it now or next time its trouble like.... to many people talk, sick of it, the OB are not your friends!!!

Why should I be making a point?

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 6:34 pm

Looking at the CCTV footage there were a lot of innocent people near this incident, young and old.

Has it crossed your mind that these people may have been frightened by the events around them?

But it's ok as these youngsters have to be allowed to release their pent up aggression and be above the law!!

You couldn't make it up, you really couldn't!!!!

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 6:36 pm

You asked a question in reply to my post.

I replied, and wondered what your point was.

Clearly you didn't have one.

Re: jail

Wed Apr 14, 2010 6:39 pm

that is understandable, so why they be given the chance to maybe write letters to the familys expressing there sorrow towards what they had to see? it happens , im sure those people will see alot worse stuff in there lifetime that goes unpunished, and im sure if they are older they have seen much worse, mod, rockers, skins, football in the 80s?

Obviously they have to be punnished but it has to be in line with simular crimes. There's pubs and clubs around here where they have punch up's every weekend. They even arrange mini-buses to go hunting. Yet these people just get "drnk and disorderly", or on the spot fines, or just sent on their way. I know one rugby club where getting beaten up is an introduction.
Watch the real life police shows that are on most nights and list how many go down and for what. Then come back.

Just wondering if you think there's one law for one and another for others. Thing is everyone breaks the law at some point, even if it's just stealing time. But some can be very self righteous sometimes.

I think, as far as the wearing of the gear is concerned, you're well off the mark, ridiculously so, in fact.

However, you do make a valid point regarding the fact that Southampton fans got off scot-free. They seemed to take a right hiding, but also looked like they were waiting for it, which from what has been said on here is what happened. Maybe they used the fact they took a savage beating and it went in their favour as they probably said they were innocent bystanders and the victims of a vicious, unprovoked attack. But you have a point, up to a point. If it hadn't been in such an open, public place, maybe, just maybe, they could have got lighter punishments. Who can tell? As has been pointed out, actual innocent people were around and probably frightened witless by it all. After all, not all members of the public take such incidents as lightly as some on here. Planning a street battle like this wanders into the realms of conspiracy and, if they had been walking on different sides of the road and a spur of the moment thought came over them then they can blame it on booze and spin the line "I know it's no excuse being drunk, your honour and I've never been in trouble with the police before. I just don't know what came over me". It could have turned out so differently
