Roger Johnson

Was it me or did he look pretty average on Sunday and tonight?

He doesn't look half the player he was when we sold him. Money well made imo. :old:

He wouldn't get in our team that's for sure.

The Premier League was just too much for him imo.

Agree with you both there. I thought he could be something fairly big when we sold him.

He's nealy 30, best days behind him.

He's 29, Hudson's 30. Hudson keeps on improving so you can't use that as an excuse.

A centre back usually peaks around his age, early 30s.

He could of still been playing in the Prem if he could keep his head. He's in love with himself and that was his downfall.
If he'd stayed with us for another year I think we'd have gone up

Hudson has only come good last couple of years, rog was good well before then. Just peaked at different times

I think the difference is professionalism.

One a captain of most clubs he has played for and clearly highly respected.

Johnson makes a prem player then when it gets tough at wolves starts turning up drunk for training, not what you want from a captain in a struggling team.

I heard he liked his drink too. Not sure if it's true but you never know.

He's been a very good CB throughout his career.

Never nice to see a player like him tarnish his reputation.

No, I thought he was better than that.

He always did have an ego, maybe a feeling of thinking he was untouchable. That attitude never lasts.

Yes, maybe after the fee paid for him he thought he was better than he was.

I was in Brunswick when Risdale was there doing a Q+A.

He said RJ was walking around the new stadium I think it was after his move and he did have bit of cry before he left because he wanted to be part of the future of Cardiff with the new stadium, etc but wanted to move because he felt he could prove hiself well in a higher division.

Money well made indeed, unfortunately it wasn't by Cardiff City

Re: Roger Johnson

When he formed a partnership with Dann for Birmingham they were getting good reviews despite the team being relegated. Both moved on then but they seemed to have gone backwards as find themselves in the championship a season later anyway and in the case of Johnson seemingly continuing to decline. Can't see any way back for him at the moment and wolves look to be heading to league 1

His confidence is visibly shot.

He needs to come back to where it all started for him, so we can make him great again, too late for that though :malky: :malky: :malky:
