For those fans who are considering leaving

Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:15 pm

I have always been a supporter of the rebrand and following Tan's interview tonight, nothing has changed my mind.

What I would like to say is to all those fans who are hurting because of this and feel they have had enough, please reconsider you have supported this club through thick and thin over the years and have dreamt of our team playing at the highest level. Give it time you may get used to it, look forward to our future our past history will always be there and never forgotten. The club and team need all of our support now like no other time in our history. :malky:

thx m8, good to read that, but tbh the longer the season goes, my anger and my disappointment is getting worse...

at this very moment, I actually doubt I will ever watch us again.

Sorry if thats negative, but thats how I feel. It doesnt feel like CCFC anymore. I am devastated as if the club got erased, shot down or wiped out.

My place is full with City stuff, framed shirts, pennants, scarves, I even got a blue leather couch, blue carpets, blue/white curtains etc. my car got a minikit, pennant and a Cardiff City FC plate at the back, I truely love the club I fell in love with in 1990...

Seeing the team in red with that "thing" where our crest used to be, was the worst City experience Ive had. Driving home from Brighton, I honestly had tears in my eyes cos I felt the club I love is dying a slow death. Knowing, I cant stop it. Only the majority of us fans could.

And seeing the pictures of the crowd with red scarves against Brighton recently, made me realise my club isnt no more.

Better to keep the good memories alive in my mind, than going back and getting upset again.

Attending and singing your heart out at every homegame and the away trips with the lads. Supporting City, no matter if league, cups, reserves or youth. Minibus to Bangor? I'll be there, doing it the hard way through Mid Wales on countrylanes (some other users on here will remember that one) . Or the 4:0 at QPR, taking over London... could continue...those days were great, but they are gone...

But as Tan says: as long as only 25-30 % of us "customers" arent happy...

And I though I was a mad City fan by having City car mats and decking my sons room out in blue. I do feel for you, I really do. When I said I was in favour of the rebrand I suppose what I was saying was I am just supporting he club. No one wanted these changes, my son who is 10 in the car on Thursday re the rumours of the change of name nearly cried and said "but we are the bluebirds". My stance is purely selfish in as much I do not want my club to cease to exist and I am not prepared to take any risk where that may happen.

I lived in Leckwith road during the 60's and went to Kitchener road school and I remember what seemed like 100's of thousands of fans passing my house on the way to the games. I cannot remember my first game but do remember my father being attacked by Millwall fans with me standing by his side. Getting lost at a game because of the crowd and not being able to find my dad and walking home with him coming home 20 minutes later screaming at me.
These are memories I will never forget and have already passed them onto my son.

Our memories of this club will always be there and I would never try and persuade someone to throw away those memories. This rebrand I believe is about the future of our club and if it all goes tits up well at least that's one more chapter for a new book by Annis. Just consider this if you do attend another game and I hope you do you, you will not be the only one there who is not hurting.
