With Mark Hudson being ruled out for Boro and Derby, who believes we will miss his presence ?
The last game Hudson missed was Peterborough at home and even though some players had off days I think we missed his leadership, hopefully that won't be the case on Saturday.
I suspect Connolly will start on the right hand side of the centre halves and McNaughton to start at right back.
With Middlesbrough on a terrible run of late, hopefully we will get what we need up North.

He's a big miss!! He's the voice and leader in defence!! Is nugent still injured?? Think he's looked very good when called upon! Think he's one every header in the games I've seen him play in. The only error being the own goal!

IMO yes "you'll never beat mark Hudson" "you'll never beat mark Hudson"

he bosses it at the back for us !!

Big miss on Saturday and could cost us but I am hoping Turner and Connolly step up to the p;ate

Big loss and now is not the time to lose our captain and leader of the defence. Connolly and Turner should be able to cope though

What is this "football" that you speak of?
Thu Feb 28, 2013 9:39 pm
Hudson has been brilliant in just about every game this season, and we all know what happened in that Peterbro game.
However, the one thing about that Peterbro game was that the whole team had an off day "playing the bottom side itus"
While we would rather have him playing, I still think the rest of the team will be fully focussed this time.

Great footballer, a lion in that team, he will be missed but with the squad we have others will step up. Gunnarson for captain
Thu Feb 28, 2013 9:50 pm
Big time he will be missed. The guy is an awesome defender.

I think any club will miss a player of the season.
In saying that I'd rather lose Huds for a few games than Marshall.
Nugget and Connally travelled so MM has options.

Who will be captain? Whits didn't seem too comfortable with it last time

Sure will, we will concede plenty of goals in the next two games it's up to our strikers to outscore the bastards this time. I am not saying that because our back ups can't cope it's just Hudson has been a rock this season and an ever present in the side.

Nugget?
Hudson is a leader aswell as a defender so we will miss him.

I meant Nugent

I hope Nugent starts as he is a good communicator. Turner has probably been the biggest disappointment this season given his form in 2011-12

Massive lose to us but we have a good enough squad to cover. I can see lappin getting a place on the bench saturday to cover taylor or mcnaughton

Big miss.
Only missed one game as someone said above which we lost and one half v Blackpool when we conceded a poor goal.
He is not that far off 10 yellows I believe? That will be 2 more games if he digresses enough.
I'd play Nugent and not Connelly and leave Matt at full back as I just think Mcnaughton has lost it.
Fri Mar 01, 2013 4:47 pm
Nobody has mentioned the fact that both Turner and Nugent are left footers and therfore left sided central defenders. For this reason more than any other Turner and Connelly will be our centre backs at boro.
Fri Mar 01, 2013 7:13 pm
In the last 12 league games, including the Peterborough, we have conceded 8 goals. Hudson has been off the pitch for 4 of those goals! (2 against Peterborough, off injured at Blackpool and Wolves). I'd say that was quite important!
Fri Mar 01, 2013 7:18 pm
Big time
Best player this season......really hope the back 4 who play step up and communicate/organise the way Hudson does
Come on you bluebirds
