SO NOBODY BELIEVES TAN NOW???

This board was in meltdown this morning, it was after the press came out with a headline which had no substance attached to it, but it served a purpose, maximum publicity for media wales, it also served a purpose to the usual suspects on this board who would like to derail our promotion push at any cost, "we want a statement from the club," "not from wayne nash, but from one of the board," "i knew it, Cardiff Dragons next season," were some of the comments made, so what do we get, a statement directly from VT himself saying that there will be no name change, "we will always be Cardiff cCity Football Club." Of course that was'nt enough for some, "i don't believe him," "he's a liar," are now some of the new comments, PATHETIC, some of you should start acting your age instead of your shoe size, now go back to hoping/praying that Cardiff City lose a game so you can come on here and gloat about it.

To be fair his track record with statements isn't the best.

Completely agree,its as if they are dissapointed that there will be no name change now as they won,t be able to rally the masses into a mass crusade against Tans tyranny, even if the never discussed, name change had ever taken place.

SADLY your talking about most of the people that support this forum.HAPPILY your talking about a very small minority that actually support the club.

Totally, if we go up really it was all down to him, I can't see him changing the name and I personally am really quite greatful for him being here

I can't see a name change as it would not sell anymore shirts so I don't see what he would get out of it.

And also I believe if all of this keeps going on and all of this quite childish protests and things of that nature he will leave us high and dry in a dire state and there will be very little club left at all

Also, had there not been a reaction this morning who knows what could have happened. Perhaps the initial interview was testing the water. See how far he could push us.

His statement certainly contradicts the initial interview. Sends mixed signals.

To sum up I think fans had every right to make their feelings known and every right to be wary of what could happen going forward.

To be fair to this board, there are not too many on here that take satisfaction in seeng us lose, unfortunately, mikes board is full of them.

Next season we will now revert to playing in Blue not Red.

No doubt the press have taken snippets to make VT's interview more dramatic than it probably is, but VT must still had said the things the press has dug out, surely?

I'm not disputing that, but the quotes the press have stated from VT can't be false surely?

"Speaking about the name the Cardiff Dragons, Tan had told the BBC: "We will think about it when we know the final result of this season.

"Then we will think what's the best way to brand it."

VT says himself there that he IS open to a name change and it's something he will think about if we get promoted.

To be honest people asked him questions etc, he didn't just come out and go oh yeah we're changing the club name etc, he was asked a question, which is right to do so but still.
