Straight from the horses mouth - the name change could happen. (I think we all know it will - unless something is done!)

This is a shambles.

No, it's Tan's words.

Are you really trying to defend his actions?!

Re: RIP Cardiff City

Tan has also branded the people wanting to keep hold of blue "a bunch of kids" and threatened to leave unless "everyone is friendly and welcoming"

The guy is an absolute cretin.

Re: RIP Cardiff City

People should wait and see the interview in full. Its easy for wales online to pick and choose the bits that will sell the paper.

Re: RIP Cardiff City

Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:17 am

Tan don't care how many loyal fans stop going because he knows if we go up then some plastic will step in.

Re: RIP Cardiff City

Correct miller. He said he doesn't care if 25% aren't happy they can support someone else. As long as the majority are happy that's all he cares about.

It's not about selling papers or anything to do with Media Wales at all.

Re: RIP Cardiff City

It's complete sensationalism.

Take it with some perspective,

"We haven't discussed this. I've not really thought about this in detail.

"when we make a decision we will convey it to everyone."

"But if I were to sell, I'd make sure I would leave it in good hands."

"If the fans welcome me, I can stay for a long time," he said, promising a further £25m to manager Malky Mackay for new players should they go up.

The fact that it's even a possibility should worry you.

That should be enough to make you realise that he's not right for this club. :thumbright:

WHY he hasn't said he is going to change the name, and where would the club be without him

He hasn't ruled it out and said it will be looked it.

Where would it be? Quite simply - he said he would sell it on and leave it in a good state.

All in the interview. :thumbright:

He hasn't said he will change the name (FACT), and if he does sell the club on the new owners might just turn it back to BLUE

Re: RIP Cardiff City

For him to change our name at this stage would be an incredible gamble on his part.

Why? - Well if he does he would lose some of the fan base, that he presumes , maybe correctly, will be filled with new fans when we get to the Prem.

Now, playing devils advocate, say we do not stay in the Prem, he loses the new fans and those who have turned their back on the "Dragons". That will cost him money - something more than that would be the "uproar" of the whole fan base which would make him lose face.

I really feel that there will be no name change and it is just another "mind game" thing to keep the Red by accepting the lesser of the 2 evils!! :old:
