Blue Army - Revisited

As many of you may know there was an idea kicking around a while ago to form a fan group to increase the atmosphere at the CCS. It got the clubs attention briefly but stuttered after hang ups about the name and eventually the idea died away.

I still think it's a great idea and think it's something the CCS needs.

Any ideas from anyone interested of how to proceed next?

It had got to quite an advanced stage, I arranged a meeting with the lads involved and Julian Jenkins and Wayne Nash at the club, the club couldn't have been more helpful, they said they would allocate an area for them group to gather, even allow people to transfer season tickets to move there, they said they would even help with getting some banners done etc and were fully behind getting an organised singing section.

The lads were asked o make arrangements and have a follow up meeting two weeks later, but it didn't materialise because they were to busy with college and schoolwork, so it fell apart, I was disappointed because they din't even have the courtesy to contact the club to cancel the follow up meeting.

The following year they tried to restart the group and called a meeting on a Saturday morning before a home game, but on the morning of the game they cancelled last minute because they were both ill, though the word on the street is they had hangovers

Sad really because I think it was a rel goer, but I also think that boat has sailed now and an opportunity missed.
