Did they really

Achieve Premiership football, It is hard to believe the likes of Oldham, Wimbledon, Swindon, Barnsley ,Charlton Athletic and Bradford City all played in the top flight in the past twenty years while it has taken us a little over 50 years to have a real chance to play top league football. :o

Goes to show what Malky and the Malaysians have done for the club.

Wether we agree or disagree about what has gone on in the past season.

The effort from Malky, the players and the Malaysians has been amazing this season, and they will deserve the credit once we are back in the top flight.

Malky being the gentleman that he is will praise is fans for sticking with the team no matter what.

Lets all do the Malky

It goes to show how things quickly can change though.

Look at the championship, look at the HUGE clubs in it.

I hate Swansea threads but it makes me laugh how they think they are light years away, the climb to fame can just as easily turned on its head in the same amount of time. One bad decision be it a poor manager or poor signings can have a huge effect.

Look at QPR, Mark Hughes not only wasted million upon million but left them with huge wages and struggling to recover, one bad move that could effect them for many years to come.

The clubs you mention gambled on their premier league status by overspending and getting into debt. Taking that approach, relegation can ravage the club. Hence why a lot of sensible posters are concerned about our plight regardless of league position.

Swansea are a different animal financially than those, not to mention their effective brand of football which none of those clubs had either. They are doubtlessly way ahead of us and would be stupid to say otherwise really.

Not really? Just goes to show one mistake and things can change dramatically very quickly.

Ahead of us now, obviously.
Next season who knows, could both me in the prem, Swansea a new manager with new signings, could all change very quickly.

It's not "one mistake" though is it? It's continued financial mismanagement. We have more chance of ending up like the Swindons of this world than them.

As they showed in their first season there, their system works regardless of personnel. Players like Alan Tate were made to look good. Their strength is they employ managers to keep things ticking over rather than have the potential to change the club. Sousa is an awful manager and still achieved a better finish than Martinez did.
