It was a very good night and he answered every question very well...they ranged from how he prepares the players to all the new staff that we have at the club...he said there is a legacy already in place for the future regardless of whether or not he got sacked...which is always a possibility in football....he is so keen about building solid foundations at the club from bottom to top. He was delighted to have secured Dick Bate for the academy and raved about his medical and recruitment departments. He is adamant that the players are mentally stronger than last season when they burnt out after the cup final...he puts that down to a much stronger squad, not in numbers but quality.
He said that the club had targeted Campbell for a few months and put every effort into getting him here, Malky met Fraizer and his dad to sell the club to them...he is over the moon at the way the lad has taken to the regime at Cardiff city and the training methods...he is not big headed and works hard in training to blend in with the other players ...it's like he has been here for a lot longer..Mackay admitted that losing Maynard was a huge blow but praised the team for the way the have stuck together and worked so hard to get where we are today...he said Fraizer was a great signing for us who could have just stayed in the premiership and run down his contract...but the lad wanted to play and took the chance of dropping down a division which is our good fortune.
There were about eighty people there all business people from South Wales and it was held in the dressing rooms all profits from the night going to charity I believe....Gwyn and me took a chance and it paid off ...it really was a nice night out.

Do they always hold these Q&A evenings in the changing rooms as it must get a little cramped
