STADIUM EXPANSION

I kno it's early and I'm not get carried away by any stretch of the imagination. But if.. God willing we make it to the Premier league. Do you think we will start expanding the stadium ready for the 2013/14 straight away. If so what would the new capacity be? Any one? 27 upto ........

Ricky it looks like 1,500 extra seats will be put in in June 2013, in the corners,down at the bottom and where ever they can find areas. the big expansion of an extra 8,000-9,000 seats is up to Tan, but there is no sign of this happening this year.

Does this involve filling one or two of the corners in Annis?

They'll fill the 3 corners in, If we survive 2 seasons or so in the PL a second tier will be put in the Ninian stand?

I wouldn't mind if they changed the away/family stand seats to red.

That's cool.. So what is the maximum capacity the CC stadium could hold in the future. Man Utd can expand etc.. But some stadium are restricted to a maximum of seats? Blurred armyy!!!

Sorry to sound a bit dull but by the corners do you mean the gaps? I only ask as I thought they had to be there to provide enough air/light for the pitch?

They're pointless. No other club has them, only an open corner for the groundsman entrance. In essence you would think that they would allow light and air to the pitch, but they didn't. The new lights have made all the difference.

The lighting rig comes into stadium via those access points though surely so they would have to be removable or only in three corners, is that right?

I would. It would look ridiculous having one end of the stadium red then the rest of it blue. If the new seats are red, it would look stupid. It would make make more sense to just keep them blue to be honest, it's not like VT is going to be here forever and he must know that.

I always thought they were there for emergency service vehicle access.

i thought i read somewhere that we can get so many extra seats in in around 6-8weeks due to the current structure being in place? not just the corners.

surely tan would want to cash in straight away as the demand would out strip supply? im pretty sure we could shift another 5000 or so season tkts assuming the current 20k renew and the 1000 already sold plus the waiting list...

If we go up they might just give a bigger away allocation n make the family boundaries smaller. If we stay up whilst looking stable, I think they could expand it then

Think the stadium would look a lot better without the gaps in the corners obviously one is needed for emergency vehicles but the other 3 will look great filled in. Anyone know if this is definalty where the extra seats are going?
