Can't the supporters groups have a one to one meeting....

Mon Feb 25, 2013 12:22 pm

with Tan..?

Forget about the others just with Tan himself. The reason I say that is because it has been rumoured that Tan didn't know about the amount of people against the rebrand and lets be honest the others could be just feeding him information to keep them in their jobs. So surely the next best step would be to for Supporters groups to meet up with Tan and to talk about the future and how everyone can go forward together.

Maybe straight after a game in which he will be attending..? as I'm sure staying a further hour or so won't cause too many problems in his schedule.

I think the more sensible option would be for the elected members of the Trust to be there. At least they were elected by their members and even through I'm not a Trust member I'm sure the people involved would make good representation of everyone.

Fair point otherwise you will just have people starting to run buses just to get their nose in :thumbright:
I think it should be the trust who has a meeting with Tan if there is one :ayatollah: I might even join

Before any such meeting I think those supporters groups should send a questionnaire to supporters and see how we feel. We can't just use messageboards as a representative. The supporters groups would then also be able to go to that meeting with figures to display to tan.

I may also join because it shows that the Trust are trying to help put this issue to bed. It would also help with Tan's PR within the support and if he pulls out of such a meeting then it would be another own goal by him. So such a meeting would be a win-win for all concerned.

That also seems a very good idea. Or maybe hold a meeting of supporters beforehand for them to gather a list of questions which the supporters want them to ask.

I'm just putting an idea across in abid to repair the issues which have been caused.

I think it should be trust only to keep it simple

I suppose because they are Trust board members you are probably right but I for one would support such a meeting.

I think all the supporter group members (this could include the messageboards too) should get together, make a questionnaire and send it to all its members.

Once the data is collected we would have a much better understanding of how the fans feel. The important thing is that the questionnaire is sent to a large percentage of fans so the results represent all supporters and not just a minority.

A meeting with tan involved would give the supporters an opportunity to ask tan questions and also hear information from the horses mouth and not through hearsay. It would also give him the opportunity to see how we feel and for him to put his feelings across.

Although I agree with you the trust only have a few hundred members I believe which wouldn't represent all supporters, just a minority and one section. The more fans that can get involved the better.

I think that is key

How often do you think Roman Abramovich has met Chelsea fans to discuss the cost of pies and the price of tickets.
The fans had this relationship with Sam Hammam, but things are so different now, VT employs 150,000 people, I bet you could add up in minutes the amount of conversation the previous two CEO's had with VT during their time at the club.

Don't think he's the small talk common touch hands on owner, does that make it right, no far from it, but it is what it is, and I would think the Trust have more chance of an audience with the Pope than our owner.

Someone asked does Vt live in the real world, well I bet he would reply "yes, but I own the world" :old:

I agree with Gwyn here, i think you would have no chance of a meeting, pity really as a fans group could say things as they are, as officials from the club wont as they would fear for their jobs if they said the wrong thing, pity as QPR,s owners seem to inter face with their fans and they are about 30 times wealthier :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

Adam

The guy don't give a toss about the fans and our past history and he would not spend a moment discussing it with any supporters or their groups.
The one man who did care about our history and traditions tg has been sidelined.

Exactly!

Tan has shafted his own mate, TG out of the way....

He was the one who for me, at least said the right things, i don't remember the last time i heard anything from him.

EDIT: I'd originally put kicked him out the door, when this is not the case, he is as far as i know still chairman, but i still can't remember anything from him, i kept mixing this role up with the one that Simon Lim fella does

a window in his busy schedule.

Can you imagine going to Mcdonalds HQ and demanding a meeting with Ronald McDonald himself because you were not happy he discontinued the Mega Macs

Get real Tans got his finger on the pulse. He knows the huge majority are with him so he is not going to meet the tiny majority that are disgruntled. Harsh but true.

Sadly the masses spoke last Tuesday

The trust want a place on the board because they have a few hundered members.
If that's not enough to make Tan know they are a joke what is.
