Quality trip yesterday courtesy of Dibs Tours (and his understudy Adam Price). Our morning stop in a Social Club in Birmingham was one of the highlights - DJ with a packed dancefloor raving at 11am everyone off it![]()
Nice walk around Wolverhampton City Centre when we got there, all in good voice, with some interesting interactions with the West Mids Police, who weren't half as bad as I thought they were going to be. Couldn't get near the bar in Walkabout though and with the stadium being dry was a bit of a downer.
Our support inside an out of the stadium restoring the faith all decked out in Blue with any sight of red in a very small minority.
Our team truly are a bunch to be proud of, obviously including Malky. Some of the football in the first half was easily Premiership standard, playing lovely triangles working the ball through the midfield from defence keeping quality possession and driving Wolves' morale lower and lower into the ground as they're chasing shadows.
Frazier Campbell is an absolute steal at the price we had him for, his feet are amazing, proper Premiership quality, and a genuine out an out goal scorer. His old man was in the ground yesterday next to one of the younger lads on our bus and he couldn't speak highly enough of him, said he was a genuinely nice guy - clearly like his son after his gesture with his shirt to the young lad in the crowd. He's already, and will be a massive City legend.
I made a post last week saying promotion means nothing this year following the devisive nature of the rebrand - yes there are extremely sad stories coming out of it all and I remain a adamant Blue. But I totally retract my statement - Promotion this year will obviously be huge, and even though the rebrand is taking the gloss off it for many, knowing the joy and excitement it's going to bring for our area for fans of all ages, it's about time we had genuine success.
Our away support will always be a reflection of what we are - a proper working class club with passion and an edge right up there, and even though we are compromising some of that with how CCS is at the moment, I'm going to make sure I enjoy the next few weeks/months and ensure we have the footballing memories we deserve out of it. I'm not letting the Malaysians make me feel like an outcast for being a Blue, it's still our club and ours to fully share the good times.

Good post - I am still a reluctant red, will never buy the shirt and will not wear the scarf (again) - BLUE WILL RETURN - when I do not know but I intend to be there for when it does!!
