For me it has to be David Marshall followed by Mark Hudson.

DAVID MARSHALL: There was minimal pressure from Wolves, but the Cardiff goalkeeper kept things simple. No chance with the deflected goal. 7



MATTHEW CONNOLLY: Actually looked a bit more comfortable at centre-half when Hudson went off towards the end, but he has been a reliable presence this campaign. 7

MARK HUDSON (c): Another battling showing from the skipper. Cardiff will be concerned after he limped off with an injury. 8

BEN TURNER: The no-nonsense centre-half covered a lot of ground and got in some timely interventions and interceptions. 7

ANDREW TAYLOR: Another excellent showing from the full-back who is a really reassuring presence for his side. Comfortable on the ball whole game. 8


DON COWIE: He was back in the side and he did bring a bit of stability to things. Linked up well with the forwards and worked hard in the process. 8

PETER WHITTINGHAM: Had more of an impact than in other games recently. Kept things calm and controlled for the Bluebirds and a nice range of passing too. 7

ARON GUNNARSSON: The Icelander kept battling throughout and refused to concede an inch. If the Bluebirds do go up a lot of it will be down to the perspiration of their midfielder. 7

CRAIG CONWAY: He brings a nice directness to the side and is playing with confidence. Never afraid to cut inside and have a pop at goal yesterday. 7

CRAIG BELLAMY: He never stopped tormenting Wolves throughout. Saw a lot of the ball and was always prepared to take on his man in an attempt to surge forward. 8

FRAIZER CAMPBELL:The man of the match: He is just what Cardiff needed. In the right place at the right time and his goals are making the difference in the promotion push. 9

Another great team performance yesterday, again I thought Taylor was excellent.

Player of the season for me, I can't choose between Marshall and Hudson, Conway close as well IMO

Taylor had an excellent game yesterday and was MOM. Nice to see him taking players on and not stopping and passing inside when he goes over the half way line. Player of the season for me though is Marshall - he frustrates the hell out of me sometimes with his wayward kicking and slowness in getting the ball out, but he has won us a lot of points with his keeping.

In what world was Don Cowie an 8 yesterday??? Is the Echo seriously saying he played as well as Andrew Taylor!? Cowie was almost completely anonymous and was by far our worst player. No wonder I've given up reading the Echo when they come up with this type of crap!

In terms of player if the year I would personally go for Hudson, although Marshall has been outstanding. And most improved player should go to Taylor. He's been fantastic the last few months.

Hudson followed by Marshall at the moment, could change but between them 2 for me

Marshall for me, the guy as really come into his own this season.

About time we have the men at the back who steal the fans attention and Hudson has been fantastic.

Been a leader, he gives 100% every game and I hope he gets the credit from other clubs and The Football League as they often would rate other players higher than him.

its hard to choose 1, but the 3 who should be in for the running are, Marshall saved us so many times this season, Hudson captain fantastic. Bellamy as seemed to get better and better by game and is playing more than what i expected to.

one player who has impressed me is Conway, if he had played all season or most of it then he be right up there, since he got back in the team hes come alive again.

Hudson for sure. Him and Marshall have been outstanding since Charlton.

Think they're being kind to Turner there, he made a howler in the first half which could easily have led to a goal.

I will go for Hudson as he has been a great captain and organiser and always puts himself on the line for the sake of the team, I used to be his greatest critic and I must admit that I used to cringe every time I saw his name on the team sheet but he has really proved me wrong this season and I am glad.
Marshall has been outstanding for us this season and I'd say he has saved us from losing around 10 to 15 points on his own.
I've always been impressed by Conway and had he played most games like Hudson has then he would be very very close to being my player of the season.
I've also been a big critic towards Taylor this season but the last 4 or 5 games he has been outstanding, he's another player that I've been proved wrong about. He had an excellent game yesterday

Don't really agree with the player ratings from the echo (but I never do lol).

Player of the season though

1st - Hudson
2nd Marshall
3rd Gunnarrson

So tough this season with it really being a team effort.

9 players with 4 or more goals so goals have been spread out, the defence has tightened up considerably since Charlton away conceding just 12 goals in 18 games since that Charlton game so credit must go to Malky and the players for tightening things up at the back!

Personally I would have Hudson just ahead of Marshall at the moment ....

Marshall has won us a lot of points, but he still needs to work on one or two things to improve his game even further. He has improved considerably, though.

Hudson must surely be player of the season to date, with Bellamy and Gunnarsson close behind.

Hudson for me then Marshall.

Not a big fan but Bellamy has also been superb

Doesn't seem right to have a 'player' of the year this season, as the biggest thing about this campaign has been the team spirit. Therefore my vote would goes to Cardiff City's squad 2012/13.

Hudson IMO but Marshall has been incredible.
Bellamy has delivered game in game out and has been much more involved than last time.


Campbell would of taken some beating if he had been here all season Im sure!

I would say the player of the season has top be Hudson! What about Gunnarsson too? He's scored some crucial goals for us?

In the past we have at times neglected strengthening at the back.
This year we purchased Connolly and he has looked solid at right back an centre half.
Effectively benching former ever present McNuggets and putting performances to ensure that if Hudson and Turner Were not up to scratch then they would be in trouble of facing the sidelines.

As it goes Turner and Hudson have been outstanding and I feel the competition that Connolly has installed into the back line has been a key factor to those performances.

When you Add Ben Nugent and the Declan John as future stars able to step in now, for the first time in a long time our defence is looking very healthy.

Bellers, Hudson & Marshall, top 3 for me. All for different reasons. Think Bellers for his tireless hard work round pitch & his influence on team. Hudson as solid foudation & mr reliable. Marshall, as best keeper we hav had.
