Really pleased. You can now play all over Europe on Thursdays, come back knackered with a small squad and then struggle in the league. How many will you take in Europe? Your fans don't even support in numbers in this country. Happy days for us Bluebirds. Lol

I think they will do alright in Europe. They need a far bigger squad but they got a few bob now to reinvest. Europe didn't f**k the Brummies season up a few years back, they had a shit squad and still managed the play offs.

How is our rivals winning a major trophy a good day for the bluebirds?

You sound like a mug. Our biggest rivals just won the league cup and you try and make out its a bad thing for them.
If they stay up next year and get out of the group stage of the europa they've had another good season.
We should be biting our lips until we have our league promotion to celebrate.

just give them credit - they won a trophy and played some decent football. I can't stand them or the media love in they have but I must admit the animosity has died a bit since both Tate and Trundle have gone and its nice to know that neither will be getting a medal or accolades having played no part in their success yesterday.

Swansea will be fine in Europe. They have a side who can pass teams to death, go 1-0 up and then keep possession without exerting themselves. They can do the same in the league. Put it this way, in Europe they won't be forcing anything and if they get through the groups they'll see it as a major achievement and that is when they might kick on and start going for it big time. Until then they'll be focusing on getting as many points as possible on the board in the Premier League.
I think we need to be realistic here because they'll also invest. Laudrup won't go now unless offered a top job and I think the style of play they have, the fact he's just won them a trophy and they're in Europe will mean he and their top players stay.
They believe in Swansea's way of things and will stick around. We need to just focus on what we are doing.

Congratulations to the Jacks. They won a competition we entered.
In my eyes they are a fellow relegation candidate (assuming we do the job this year) so them playing in Liechtenstein on cold Thursday whilst we a snuggled up nice, warm and rested will big a big help. The early rounds seem to go on forever. Huw Jenkins will have to adjust his strategy. He has a 46 game squad what will he do for a potential 60 game, this is a big turning point for the jacks. Hope they get it wrong
