Good reading TLG. Absolute travesty whats being allowed to happen.

That cartoon in your piece is excellent but also very sad.

This whole episode has left me feeling cold.

There is NO integrity in our fanbase, it's just sickening.

It's called supporting the team, who now wear red shirts if you haven't already noticed. :malky: :ayatollah: :malky:

why - just because I disagree with you?

I though we were all entitled to our views - I respect those who feel differently - but personally I was very pleased to see so many wearing our new colours with pride :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

And rather than make a silent but peaceful protest against the railroading in of a brand new identity, when the opportunity arose on Tuesday............the masses follow like sheep. A shameful stain on the proud character of Cardiff City Football Club

You are entitled to you point of view and my point of view is that your point of view shows that you have no integrity

That's illogical - I've always been completely in favour of the rebrand, as all my posts on here will show - I would only lack integrity if I suddenly changed position now - I think what you mean is that I don't agree with you, and you don't like it.

Thankfully, the majority showed on Tuesday night they are also fully behind the rebrand.

I have always had massive sympathy for those who have found it difficult to accept the changes (again, as all my posts will show), but when they resort to name calling, they lose the argument, as you have done.

No name calling as well you know you little scamp...oops :) #

Have you been behind the rebrand for the past thirty years then? I wouldn't have thought so, seeing as we were and always had been the Bluebirds playing in Blue eh ;) Therefore you've just accepted and welcomed with open arms our new identity with no regard for who we are...lack of integrity perhaps?

People dont get it.. the shirt colour and badge was well known. i never wear shirt, scarf at games but on holiday etc.
Its the way there was no compromise, no respect for us as fans. we have mostly accepted it because of the glory ahead. Fans who have come on board in the last 5 or so years are prob most accepting of the change, but i am aware that long term fabs have accepted it as well, but not all.

Will we end up with a different name and will that be the point where you say enough is enough ? But then some fans will say, its still being played in Cardiff but we are now called Tan San Fc.

Anyway i will never understand how City has gone so soft and rolled over so easy. lets hope it stops at just the colour change.

if we lose the name cardiff city then that will be it for me im afraid!

i can barely tolerate the changes this yr and blank it out of my mind while trying to enjoy whats on the field and forgetting all the politics...

what about all the hype regarding the below prior to the start of the season.....

surely the name cant be changed????

Why lack of integrity????

The colour (and the badge) means very little to me - I've never been a big one for symbols - they usually only cause problems in my view.

My view is that I want to see the team that I was brought up to support (My Grandad went to the Cup Final in 1927 and I grew up with the tales of that day from him) be as succesful as possible. I see VT as a tremendous Chairman, and have no problem with us playing in our national colours and with our Nation's emblem as our badge (and incidentally it was the symbol that was the centrepiece of the badge we wore on that day in 1927, if symbols are that important to you).

When I said I've always been behind the rebrand, I obviously meant since it was announced.

However, I fully respect the views of those who take a different view, and will not resort to name calling in turn, as it's not my style.

I fail to understand why you can't do the same, but each to their own - I won't resort to similar rhetoric as you, but find it sad that you can't accept others views in the same way without alleging they have a lack of integrity.

The Bluebird...a nickname given by the fans to the club they loved 100 years ago due to the fact that we've always played in Blue. Something to be proud of, no?

The 1927 Badge? The City's coat of arms to mark the occasion (an occasion incidently, attended by my Grandfather also). When clubs started advertising their club nick-names in the form of a badge, naturally our club placed the Bluebird on the Blue shirt, given that we'd ('ve) always worn Blue and always been known as the Bluebirds...so in that respect of course the emblem is important to me.

Finally, I've just decided that I love the idea of the first kit being Green next season, with a Golden Lion as our new crest. I've now been a firm advocate of this for at least 5 minutes and I thoroughly reject any of our historical identity. Do I have any integrity?

I think what you are failing to understand is that I have nothing aginst the Bluebird or our previous colours. But neither do I have anything against red or the dragon as our badge.

You clearly do (and would for any other change I suspect), so for you to embrace such a change would be hypocritical and may even show a lack of integrity.

However, I would be showing a lack of integrity if I artifically embraced your position, as I do not feel the same way as you, and never have done.

I don't know how much further we can take this, as I suspect you'll never accept my position, but I'm not going to change my mind either - the silent majority showed on tuesday night that they seem to be far more in line with my thinking though, and all I was asking for was that all views were respected, including those who are pro-change.
