It was so sad seeing him on telly last week, a shadow of the man he once was, broke my heart. :|

"It's a perfect fixture for me because I've been manager at both clubs and had good experiences. Both of the clubs have had an amazing journey - but I'll probably go for the minnows because the city needs something," The Sun quotes him as saying.

he's backing swansea because bradford has f**k all , he'd probably support you if we ever play each other again because he goes for the underdog ;)

When he was manager of Swansea, and part time Wales manager, in the 80s, Terry Yorath used to stay with his mother on the Gabalfa estate during the week. Used to see him some mornings in Suchak's, on the corner of Colwinstone Street and College Road, on my way to work in Whitchurch. He used to buy all the newspapers (no internet then! :old: ), to keep up on the football news. Got talking to him one day, and he was a really nice bloke. Always said hello after that. Terry has had a fair share of tragedy in his life, and I hope that he will be OK. His daughter is doing well, which must be of great pride to him.

Very sad to see, if there was a dictionary term "broken man" there would be a picture of him next to it.

He would support us because he was born in Cardiff, end of Pri&K. If he went for the underdog between us and you Jacks then he would go for you as you will soon find out next season, Come ON Bradford

Phil Dwyer makes the point, in his recent autobiography, that Terry Yorath always wanted to hear the latest news about the Bluebirds when they met up on Wales duty. He is Cardiff through and through.

That interview is sad . He does look a broken man and has had a very tough life with his son , being involved with Bradford at the time of the fire and to an extent the welsh Job . He must have a huge affinity with them due to the tragedy . Come on Bradford !

Yep, lived on aberporth rd, gabalfa boy. His old man drunk over gabalfa communitiy centre for over 40 years, a proper old time cardiff fan and a gent to boot. Terry would be seen in there all the time. Used to always offer me out on the pool table for a tenner, he was a good pool player At one time after losing the wales job he even helped out with the local pub side.

First thing he always used to say to me was " how the bluebirds playing" he'd want to know everything about the game. Who played well, how we set up etc.

Great football player. Terrys a bluebird through and through, anyone who says otherwise is talking through their arse.

I always liked TY. Have you read his book, "Hard man, Hard knocks"? Very interesting, but also very sad.

The way he was treated by the WFA was, imho, outrageous!
