mate v mate, blue v red

Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:53 pm

Me and my mate been supporting city over 50 years, between us, he's all blue I'm easy either way, everyone has their own opinions on the rebrand. Think no matter what color you choose, we should all stick together and support cardiff :malky:

spot on! Like your picture to, really brings home how it really should be. I'm tired of being labelled a newbie, or sell out, or glory supporter I've been supporting the city most of my life and it just really doesn't bother me to change the kit colour. Perhaps I've been a bit antagonistic the last few days, but its only because I tired of the barrage of abuse and accusations that are heading the way of the people who are ok with the whole thing.

This is what it's all about, whether you're BLUE or RED shouldn't make a difference to the team on the pitch which we all support, you or I can NOT do anything about what is happening with our beloved club so we should all stick together and do just that, support the team on the pitch and NOT the colour.
Loving the BLUE Sam Hammam scarf by the way :D ;)

Ian, I'm the same as you on this subject and I will NOT be told to stay away, no, I don't like the red/badge and I would love us to go back to playing in blue at home with our Bluebird badge back but why should I feckoff because it now seems I'm in the minority.
I will also point out that I'm not against VT as if it wasn't for him then I believe we would not have a club to support, you may call me a hypocrite but I don't give a shit.
I will always support Cardiff City FC, (as long as the name don't change), and not a brand which is why I have not only renewed my season ticket, my wife's and my daughters but I have also bought a new one for my granddaughter, (good old Zebra Finance :D ). Does that make me a sellout or a plastic, does it feck and I won't have anyone telling me different.
I have friends and family in football that are totally blue, red and indifferent but they will STILL be my friends and family as that is more important to me than any colour.
I know that my statement up there will upset a few posters on here but I am trying to be totally honest and state my views on the whole subject as I'm sick to the back teeth of this re-brand being the focal point of things rather than the team itself and what they are trying to achieve.

There are minorities with either opinion that take this stance against others, you can't just say it's from people happy with the red it works both ways.

f*cking sellout steve  Good post, the thing is it all boils down to one thing, What can we do as fans and the answer is always the same NOTHING bar watch the team and get behind them otherwise the nine months of rebrand talk will carry on forever and crack me up in the end and it will still not change a thing one man wants to do with his club as much as it hurts, thats the facts here. :ayatollah:

All true facts Ian without a doubt, I also accepted a red scarf for my granddaughter as it was FREE but I suppose that makes me a sellout also according to some people. I can't really explain what all this is doing to me inside but it hurts I will tell you that much, I will try to avoid the subject if I can so I don't have to argue about it, but no one will ever tell me to stop supporting the team that I have done so for donkeys years because of a re-brand, I'll believe in what I want and do what I want without people telling me any different. :ayatollah:

Chuckle i,m the fat guy in blue in the picture its me and my son and I no what you feel I feel the same way as you do I hate the Red .

The point oz is making is he is a fan and a passionate one I no him well he loves the City no different to me or you.

We each have a totally different view on the red thing but we are still supporters of the same team and thats what counts it hasnt effected our friendship at all we both love Cardiff City with a passion and both still support the team with the same old passion.

Each is entitled to have an opinion even if oz is wrong ha ha

Anyone looking to blame someone direct it at Tan and not each other we cant all think the same. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The anger for me is against Tan he is the instigator in all this once he did it .it was always going to happen to us fans.

I dont understand why people go with the red either but it is up to them and I respect there opinions .What else can you do.
