MALKY FLAG UPDATE

I sent this image to Wayne Nash. It was the design done by 12th Man for the image we can use on the flag. This morning, I got this reply:

Given the situation at the Club, would it be possible to make the flag Blue and Red?

Comment was made about the old Flag Mike had done for the Cup Final being a focal point for those against the rebrand on Tuesday.

I am just thinking of bringing people together and not having another potential divisive symbol when we are trying to show our support and believe in the Manager.

Thats a good opportunity to point out that it would also be a good idea to atleast incorporate a bit of blue into our home kit as it would as wayne suggested himself "Bring people together"!

This also points out that the club are fully aware that there is still a divide and its not just a small minoritory on the message boards not happy with whats happening at our clubs as people are making out.

A sensible response i think! I've always said, we are no longer blue but neither are we red. We are both, Red and Blue. Why ask VT to compromise if we are unwilling to do likewise????

Its our way or the highway by the looks of it f**k the flag now or putting ten pence in to it as it will not be what WE the people paying for it would like it would be what VT would want.

Just make the writing red and we're good to go!

What I am suggesting is to show compromise ourselves to encourage VT to meet us half way. Give him blue and red and perhaps he will go with Blue and Red. There's the saying "be the change you want to see in the world" attributed to ghandi although he didn't actually say it. What he did say was this:

“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”

Sounds a good idea to me!

Also it won't be a compromise as I believe vincent would like us to incorperate blue, as in red shorts and blue shorts we would then be kitted out like the malaysian national team with malaysia across the shirts ,malaysian flags everywhere in the ground who says we are losi8ng our identity

I'm not very fussed in that design. It should be more aggressive. Possibly malky doing a fist pump or something else.. That picture seems a little timid! Also f**k the red.

Thats what it is, permission, compromise wouldnt even be a word to tan lets be real here, also i dont think 99% of posters in this thread understand why you would think we need to " encourge tan to meet halfway" over a flag with malky on that fans are paying for. I bought a new shirt last week do i need to phone the clubs up i go to and ask if im allowed to wear it, sounds rather cringeworthy if i did that. Natman you still have not answered me on the questions i asked you, yet your asking fans to do something " compromise" that tan has not done up to date with anything.

That's a fair request from Wayne Nash, given all the circumstances around the re-brand. Lets be honest all things from now on, have to be majority Red, I'm surprised if I'm honest that WN has suggested having blue present at all.
On the design itself, that partcular image of Malky does look a bit timid, if we are to pursue the Malky design, cant we get one of the fist pump or if not availabe, how about Paul Keevil taking one at the next earliest opportunity especially for this project. I also think that maybe the design could be expanded and have the new badge (dragon) down one side to appease the owners and supporters who are happy with the re-brand or at least not bothered and the Bluebird down the other side for the supporters who feel disenfranchised, Everyone is covered then and all should contribute happily to the design and would be happy to hold it aloft.

Are we really going to allow Tan to tell us what colour a flag should be that has been paid for by the fans? It may be the Chinese year of the snake but the only one I know of sits in the directors box wearing a silly red trenchcoat. Tan is so much of a control freak and dictator that I bet he could get elected in North Korea,
