Oberservations

Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:47 am

These are some of my observations of last night game.................Whittingham should no longer be considered as a automatic selection,if fact if Mackay had anything about him he would seriously consider dropping him for the Wolves game, how he was made man of the match last night was nothing short of a joke.............Mackay still has issues with his use of substitution's ,something the Watford fans warned us about when he became our manager........the red and blue factions issue reared its ugly head once again, when in Gods name are we going to put this sorry business behind us once and for all.....and lastly i would remind people on here, that there were a number of players playing last night who also played in the City team who bottled it last season

I wouldn't say we bottled it last season. We exceeded expectations with the playing squad available last season.

Well said mate. Can't see how anyone can i say we bottled it last season.

Just look at our squad compared to West Ham's. We over-achieved even getting to the playoff semi-finals.

Cowie Gunnarsson Whittingham Ralls Mason
Miller

was simply not a promotion winning front 6.

Not like Angelis to pop up from nowhere when there's an opportunity to draw on the negatives

Cant see why his subs were poor as Noone was ineffectual and Conway did very well when he came on, and Campbell had a poor game and Helguson gave us another outlet and won a lot of balls for us

Was thinking the same myself.

Bottled it? for any team to beat a west ham team that had quality throughout their squad, most players arguably premier league standard and destined for automatic promotion would have been a huge task. if we played another play off side and met west ham in the final, do you think we would have turned them over? Would have been very difficult. We exceeded expectations last season. :ayatollah:

Agreed - and he wouldn't recognise a new paragraph if he tripped over one.

Brilliant post. Spot on, Angel and don't let your critics get you down.

We've still got a long way to go and I had an epiphany last night, about our promotion attempt and about a lot of people who were sat in the CCS last night.

My dear Nedd......i regard my critics like i would regard having a shit.......something you have to tolerate

We didn't bottle anything last season - 6th and a League Cup final was overachievement. Ask the 18 teams who finished below us.
