Had he not turned up at that meeting I think more people would have been more willing to cause a scene and stand up for this clubs traditions.
Instead Gwyn and his posse turned up and quite a few got intimidated and right there any form of protest died. Had there been minimal protests some of these reluctant reds might have seen 'oh there's an against option' and jumped on the blue bandwagon instead.
For the casual fans who don't frequent the message boards there has been no option really has there? No organised protest group gaining mass appeal through the news, etc. - it was either do as Tan wants and try and make the best of a shit situation or stop going completely.
Sorry Gwyn but I don't think you should have shown up at a KCB meeting when you had beliefs that opposed the intentions of that group.

James, give up.. these threads are becoming pointless from everyone. If we had won then they wouldn't have been made, fact.
Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:30 am
I don't think that's an issue. I think it's just a mixture of people going along with the re-brand because they consider a bright new future with a re-branded club better than protesting against a change that appears inevitable or it's just apathy.

Your posting under All black everything says you dont really care about the rebrand, yet the other nanes you have used today suggest otherwise.

They're not pointless to the people who are hurting because of this rebrand mate. I totally agree with James on this one and i'm sure many others do.
Though i do agree that it's now too late to do anything about it, the summer was the time for that sadly.

I'd be more inclined to blame previous regimes and their overspending/rising debt, rather than blame Gwyn. Just my opinion though.
Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:37 am
I blame the popular peoples front of judeah "fcuking splitters"
Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:37 am
Accept the truth if we won 1-0 or 2-1 or anything then no-one would have been talking about this James.
You are on Twitter yourself and on this messageboard.. everyone would have been bragging about how we won last night.
I don't agree with it as the people who were part of the 'KCB' should have stood up for theirselfs but the majoirty of them just went to the games at the start of the season.
Blame Gwyn all you want but it shows the lack of spirit in that KCB group if they just gave up because they got someone 'threatening' everyone.

People may have been bragging Alex but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have still be discussing the scarf issue and showing their disgust with it.

Dano you completely miss the point. The posts are nothing to do with winning or losing and are a reaction to the sea of red we all witnessed yeaterday which shocked a lot of us.
Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:41 am
Would have been about 1-5 thread on it. James we all know it wouldn't be this fuss if we won. People would have carried on and be talking about the next game.

Spot on. They are a separate issue to on field events.
taffyapple was peeved before the game had even finished so its not the result annoying people at all. It may annoy some but for others its the scarves

Well those at the meeting shouldn't have listened to him and his as you put it posse
I like and respect Gwyn but if i felt strongly about something i woudnt change my mind..
So what your saying is Gwyn is partly at fault for the rebrand going ahead? Are you gonna blame him for the 20000 or so fans who wore red scarves lastnight?
Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:45 am
The posts wouldn't been on here if we had won so in a way it does.

And would you have been happy to step up and take the blame if the club had gone out of business? or would you have crawled away and blamed everyone else.

Sorry don't agree.
This subject would still have made an entrance if we had won 5-0 which we should have done.

Would have been 1-5 threads about it but wouldn't be a massive fuss.
The main talking point would have been us winning and some fans having a go at people who would mention the scarf by saying 'stop moaning'.
Been on this board long enough to know that our fans are always quick to find an excuse if we lose.

The club wouldn't have gone out of business though. That is the point. It was just scaremongering Gwyn and you know it. You constantly make threads like over on the other board, your thread today, which are thinly veiled insults at those who oppose the rebrand.
We weren't born yesterday Gwyn and we're not stupid. Neither are you so just admit it that you turned up with the sole intention of putting people off and now you are reveling in what the club has become. You won, you got what you wanted and at the same time you ******* off a minority of our fan base.
Tan stayed, changed the club to red and now you can see your 'beloved' Cardiff City in the Premier League. No fear of going out of business if we get there as Tan will most likely stick around to collect TV money on an annual basis.
I think its quite clear that you've never reluctantly accepted the rebrand but have always been positively for it.

James theres no point in blaming Gwyn and his posse.
The KCB lacked spirit and fight.
They decided to not go any further with their group.
Their own fault.

I believe the police and club banned any demonstations outside the stadium or inside. The chap from London received notification from the police who was organising it. When that happens not a lot more you can do other than keep wearing Blue which many are but as we have seen the masses prefer Red

Exactly. Everything was suppressed before it even had a chance to get going.

Fair enough but then decided to turn up to most home games..

Barnett shut up for fucks sake, your as much a Cardiff fan as Colonel f*cking Gaddaffi.
Wed Feb 20, 2013 4:53 pm
James your just making a fool of yourself. As I said when this "threatening" came out, if it was such a big threat why not go to the police about it? Also if you strongly believed in your cause you wouldnt give up over something like that. The only ones to blame for letting it happen are the fans each and everyone of us.
I have not seen a single protest or such about it (except for the 40 odd that refunded their season tickets) all I've see is a bunch of people moaning and still attending games.
If your going to spout off and act like billy big balls what have you done to protest? Only a few weeks ago you singing the malaysians their praises>?

Lets all remember it was gwyn who told tan to turn us red and rebrand us, barnett this is another whopper thread of yours today. Everybody knows it all went tits up when the police got involved about protests in and around the ground, i was told gwyn told the police to say that also, so it must all be gwyns fault like the thread headline says
Wed Feb 20, 2013 5:02 pm
gwyn and his posse is going through the data base of Cardiff fans and one by one they will make them accept red or else! bloodly hell Barnett another whooper from you and your multi shit user names

Yep exactly. It does not help much when you add the threats from your own as well.
Very little you can do when you have a billionaire hell bent on having his own way.
Ignore what other fans say when they claim there would be riots if we had the same done to us. That's bollocks as they would soon find out their rioting would get them nowhere.
The only line of attack is to let Tan spend his money on the club, that is let him commit his dough and get it secured (debt to equity, stadium expansion etc) then lets pray some new investor turns up and grants us our wish.
Problem is what is our wish because the one I thought is not there going on last night.

Dando, I think you need to accept the truth.
Hardly anyone is going on about what happened on the pitch last night, everyone is more hurt by the red scarves.
