We used to be loud n proud

Tue Feb 19, 2013 10:47 pm

Been supporting this club for over 40 years & have always been proud of this club but tonight it all changed, walking into the ground & seeing rows & rows of red scarves turned my stomach, our support has become a joke, my boy turned to me & asked could we go home & he's only 17 but has supported the City since he was able to walk, we're now a two bob club with fans to match.

What did people expect when this rebrand come about one game in a red top at home. Fans had there chance to do something but nothing was done so this is what it is, sadly its to late now and we have to roll with it, we move on with the times like tonight proves we on message boards are a small number of fans who mean f**k all to the club as 95% of fans waving there red scarfs about tonight have taken it all on board unlike others.

Get over it if we had won you wouldn't be crying on here and your son wouldn't have wanted to leave early if we were winning no doubt

Typical crap response. If all it mean't was results i would have f*cking found something better to do than watch the City. For some of us it's more than just winning & by the way my boy wanted to leave before the game you f*cking numpty.

Ok fair point i took your post the wrong way but there's f**k all we can do about the rebrand but what I was getting at is we should still support the team and be loud and proud, there's is a new breed of fan yes but should stick two fingers up to them and show them what a true city fan is

Well you and your son know what to do, don't go to any more games this season and don't buy season tickets for next season.A lot talk the talk but will they walk the walk

Cheers cakey but i feel the tradition is being eroded, yes support the team but i do feel we have now got a large chunk of new support who would desert us if we slipped down the league's. at present it seems that all principles are flying out of the window while we chase the dream.
