Ok everyone, the PayPal is all set up.

We will be having a large surfing flag of Malky Mackay

I have spoken to 12th Man and he will be putting together a design

Feel free to wait to see the design before donating if you wish, but below are the details for you to donate

I say all that I say below based on the assumption this flag being the flag that users of the forum planned to buy together:



I say this with NO DISRESPECT intended whatsoever, Wouldn't any collection be better off in the hands of someone like Annis, Carl or Lakey, people who users here, actually know somewhat?

As I said, I genuinely mean no disrespect at all, maybe people would be more generous if they were sending the donations to a 'known user'

Gav, I share your concerns, but as long as we're regularly updated on everyone who kindly donates. PayPal screenshots of payments and the final transaction to the flag manufactures then I'm happy to go along with it. I'd do it myself but flat out at the moment. Once the cost is known then we can kick on from there

I would donate but not before i see a mock up of the flag, im not going to give £10 if it turns out to be a red flag.

I was just thinking of using the same design that I have on my Malky "Believe" shirts, but we could change the wording to whatever we want.

I physically can't produce a design involving the colour red, because I am massively against the rebranding and couldn't bring myself to do it. It would also really upset me if my design was recoloured in any way to incorporate red.

A couple of questions Worcester

1. Will the club allow such a flag design with the blue colour used in favour over the Red?
2. What is the estaimated cost of the flag?
3. Considering what the cost will be and the time going into making this happen, what if we lose Malky within the next year for what ever reason, I assume the flag becomes quickly obsolete, so money wasted?

Firstly, I've emailed Wayne the design and awaiting his approval. Have also said the wording may be changed.

We will sort out the costs and size upon approval.

Sure, it is a worry about him leaving. However, I think he'll be with us for a while yet. Hoping the flag to be ready for the Bolton game, and definitely for the start of next season.

why are people jumping to conclusions saying what if malky isn't with us next season? chill out ffs

Liverpool still have flags of previous managers surfed across or waved in the Kop so even if Malky left we could still surf it if we wanted as HOPEFULLY he will be remember for his time here with the same kind of admiration we show to Eddie May and Jimmy Schoular

Sorry mate, I don't agree, it all depends under what circumstances he leaves IF it happens. He can do no wrong now, and that's great, however football changes instantly, fans are fickle and under certain circumstances he could end up being hated. Unlikely, I think, but it could happen. I thought he left Watford quite graciously, but they now hate him, thats how football is. Someone above has compared Liverpool fans, with banners of different managers, but guys like Shankley, Paisley, Dalglish are all fecking legends.
I hate to say it, but this promotion will be as much down to Vincent Tan as it will be Malky. Shall we stick him on a flag as well.
