Michael Owen

Just watched Liverpool hammer the jacks on MOTD2 and I was very impressed with Michael Owen as a commentator. The way he talked about aspects of the game, the little things like mentioning it's no joy scoring a penalty, just relief and the top spin on the ball effecting the strike. It was nice listening to someone who actually knows the game inside out and talked about the actual instances of the game instead of using the same, boring cliches that the majority of other commentators use.

Was disappointing afterwards though, seemed very staged and a lot like Tubes

because he has been injured and on the sidelines for the best part of 3 years, people forget how good he was in his prime (admittedly that was 10 years ago).

in my opinion he was as good as any striker in the world back then, intelligent on the pitch, intelligent off it, and no, i dont have a man crush on him

I never thought much of him.
But I've recently joined twitter and his daily spats With Piers Morgan make me like him a little more.

Didn't see it tonight.

Previously I've alway felt he has been learning his lines tho.

He ruins Piers tbf. He should represent the gun lobby. He'd get them Bazookas for public use.
