It's gone so fast!

But yes, we may not always play pretty football but when we need to grab an extra goal we normally do. :malky: :ayatollah:

Loving it Baz, enjoying match days and the characters home and away, they can't come quick enough for me. :ayatollah:

Putting me on the line here.

The results yes but the actual football no.

I honestly believe if we were not top there would be blue murder about. Personally I can't believe what is going on and hope that all the pundits are right in their statements when they say we have a lot more to offer and look capable of stepping up. I hope they are right and I believe them specially as we have done this without a striker.

Just got a comfortable feeling that I will be saying yes now Campbell is here.

Yes and no.

Yes as we've played some great stuff at times and I have loved seeing Bellamy and noone getting at defenders and causing havoc.

No because I feel we can still play better but dont seem to crank up the volume which has been frustrating.

we have abilty to step up against better playing sides as we have proved on more one occasion this season, take yesterday 9 behind ball never going to be easy and that's been regular this season as teams fear us with players we have! :malky:

I think Malky is a pragmatism and knows how to grind it out when he has to, buts its not his preferred vision.

Early season well after a few games we were playing some entertaining stuff then we went functional. Maynard & Smith out hurt us more than I realised, with a replacement for Maynard (maybe an upgrade ??) and smith back we stopped having to launch the ball 50 metres forward- funny how Whitts looks a lot better yesterday when we played accurately and with pace.

Roll on the warm weather..... :malky:

a little inconsistent with games not being played at the city ground for a couple of weeks , also atmosphere at home games lacking , compared to away games which are awesome

I honestly think someone is going to get a hammering off us in the next 15 games or so

Malky says the right things at the right time, the results obviously outstanding without playing that well at times. Hopefully starting yesterday the performances will continue to be exciting now that the games are running out for other teams, we could have battered Bristol yesterday and I also believe there's a thumping for somebody around the corner :ayatollah: :malky: :malky:

It's so refreshing to have a manager who knows that we won't blow teams away every week, and plays the right way for each fixture.

Also great to see the togetherness of the squad and how committed they are. A big difference to 2011.

So yes, loving the football :ayatollah:

Can't believe the season is nearly over already :o

I've enjoyed every minute on the pitch, but of course there is the rebrand. It can't be neglected but I'm not going into it right now.

The way we played against Wolves, Burnley, Blackburn and Bristol yesterday was scary. Sometimes we look like we can really hurt teams :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Football wise, there hasn't been a single Cardiff game where they've performed brilliantly, in my opinion. Even 4-0 Burnley felt a bit off. Comparing it to QPR, i'm baffled we're top by so many points.

I honestly can't see us staying up WHEN we get promoted if they play such boring football. It's improving, but it doesn't make me go wow.

Enjoying where we are, although I cannot believe it when we defend so much and hang on. I struggle with the tactics like yesterday for example, last 20 minutes and instead of going on to get a 3rd against a very poor team, we sit back and try to shut up shop.
Things will have to change next year or a fear for us. Will be a lifetime dream to have seen it though. :ayatollah:

Can't be arsed reading the posts.....I'm a lazy bar...steward. However.......

Gents....I'm a new City supporter only 5 years (not a glory hunter I promise) I live breathe Cardiff City.......
The football sometimes is brilliant.....Tommy Smith's through ball to Frazier....sublime!
A lot of times it's shite!
But yes I am enjoying the football, and will continue to to do so.
IF it all goes wrong, (it will maybe), but I will continue to support CCFC forever.
I just wish I was here before. I feel a connection with City that I never had anywhre before, and fortunately my lovely Welsh wife 'gets it'
I look forward to all my good times with you all in the future, cheering on the City.

I know what I have said is fook all to do with the original thread..........but I'm just chuffed to be a Bloobird and I AM :malky: enjoying the football

loving it. never felt so in control of games like we have done this season, they go out and do a job every game you can see this squad have total respect for way malky wants to do things. so many positives about the way the club is managed by malky and his team it softens the negatives of the rebrand

For the first time for many many years I am actually going to the games thinking that we are going to win every game we play - it's a strange feeling!

Even at 0-0 yesterday I was certain that we would score.

Bit disappointed to see us take our foot off the gas so often and especially yesterday. As soon as Malky brought on Cowie all the ambition went from our play and there was a feeling of sticking with what we've got rather than going for the jugular.

I appreciate that there's another game on Tuesday and that the wurzels were not offering much but all it took was one bit of bad luck or one unfortunate mistake like poor Ben Nugent to put us under unnecessary pressure at the end of the game.

Hopefully goal difference won't be a factor this season but I was really hoping when we scored the second yesterday we would go on to secure an emphatic win rather than decide to play the last 20 minutes or so on the break.

I agree we took our foot off the gas after 2-0, we would all love to see teams such as Brizzle put to the swoird..........

Is it a team mentality? or just Malky playing safe? I don't know, not being negative, just asking, what do you think?

Re: Are you all enjoying the football this year?

Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:22 pm

We have lacked in style at times if we are honest but we have a great group of players who are a joy to watch for a different reason. We all love a 4-0 win but at the same time nothing like a last minute winner etc etc.

Never gone home satisfied having played well but lost.
A win is a win and always gives a bounce to the weekend :ayatollah:

i think it's Malky playing safe to be honest. He took the step of taking off Tommy Smith who was not only one of our more creative players and causing a threat to Bristol and replacing him with Don Cowie.

Cowie can only have been a defensive substitution. His strength is chasing around a lot and breaking up play, he gives the team very little going forward and it really seemed to me that Malky made the change to try to shut the game down. That's a risky policy as the late goal showed.

Yes a win is a win, but given the way we played for the first 30-40, do you think, we could have kept it up?

And gone that extra mile, I do :malky:
