I thought he was outstanding today, won every challenge in the air and looked very composed on the ball, i know he scored a sloppy own goal but this lad deserves some credit, a good future lies ahead for him in my opinion.

He had a great game didn't play the silly hoof ball that turner plays which was great. Great defensively and to be fair to the lad, he was surrounded by players and all he could really do was head it to Marshal. At the final whistle he walked back to him to apologise which I take my hat off to him for. Didn't have to do that.

Outstanding prospect

Was excellent today.
The own goal was just one of those things, didn't cost us and probably saved the club a few quid on clean sheet bonuses
I really am excited by him, on current form Turner doesn't deserve to get his place straight back.

A star in the making, never loses a header,a real prospect.

Excellent performance close to MOTM he was devastated by his OG which was Marshalls fault as much as his what a good prospect

Nugent had a good game generally, where as Marshall's inability to command his area and deal with high balls contributed to the own goal.

Man Of The Match for me take out the late mistake Nobby....Was Marshall not at fault for a lack of calling?
If in doubt - whack it out!
Fantastic performance yesterday we could have had 5 or 6

Great game, little bit of being inexperienced with the OG, think Marshall called for him to leave it, but it won't be treated like young Matthews was by Jonesey. I would keep in for rest of the season, ready for the premier

He's been a revelation and its always great to see players coming through the system. When he has the ball he keeps it simple and gives it quickly to a city player. Not like turners "have it" 90 yard passes!

I may be getting a bit carried away here but would it be fair to compare this guy to ryan shawcross at stoke? Does he have the potential to be that good? Have the effect and make a great future captain and leader for the club like shawcross has been and still is at stoke. I still don't like him for breaking rambos leg but there's no denying he's the rock of that club. Or is it just the fact they look pretty simular and I am getting a little carried away? Suppose only time will tell

Apart from allowing Stead to pull off him to fire over in the first half and the own goal, it was a faultless display. I think the own goal was Marshall's fault, Nugent was clearly able to deal with it and Marshall charged out for no reason. Perhaps Marshall gave a shout for Nugent to leave it but Nugent didn't hear him, so I'm putting the blame on Marshall. If Marshall hadn't have charged out, Nugent's header would have simply gone back into Marshall's hands.

Still you head back so it at worse goes out for a corner, that's basic.
It was nugent at fault but maybe Marshall didnt help the situation.
Nugent will learn, it didnt cost us.
Personally I felt nugent should have went off earlier, he looked tired (careless?) and took a knock.

He can play football,
absoloutely superb prospect, when you play in the premier league, you cannot play hoofball against top sides,
Which Is what we sometimes do at the back,
I like the way we passed the ball about against bristol, so much class and confidence running through the team
WE WOULD GET DEMOLISHED by sides like united / arsenal, man city chelsea.

But Nugent thought Marshall was standing in the middle of the goal so of course he is going to head it back to where he thought Marshall was standing? I've seen it a few times now and I think the decision for Marshall to charge out the way he did was idiotic to say the least. Surely if Marshall was in doubt whether Nugent was going to deal with it or not, he would stay on his line. But it looked pretty clear to me that Nugent was going to deal with it so it seemed totally unnecessary to me for Marshall to charge out the way he did.
