MALKY "I WANT TO PUT A SMILE ON THE FAN'S FACES"

Sat Feb 16, 2013 6:29 am

* More than 25,000 spectators – almost certainly a sell-out – will turn out for Cardiff City’s first home match in more than a month and manager Mackay says: “I want my team to put a smile on the face of every home fan.

* “The stadium will be rocking,” he says. “Coming home is good. Our pitch is top-quality and that makes a difference.

* “The fans will, as always, play their role today,” says Mackay. “They have been great this season. Absolutely exceptional.

* “I get the passion they have for this club. I want to see our fans smiling as they leave the stadium and we will do all we can to achieve that.

The Walesonline article states:

.................City are on a run of success – 20 wins in 30 Championship matches this season – which has swept them clear of all their rivals.

Mackay’s Bluebirds have a healthy lead and, with nine home matches left this season, results at Cardiff City Stadium are going to be crucial.

They have won 10, drawn one and lost one so far, scoring 25 goals and conceding a miserly eight.

I'm used to the Beeb getting things wrong due to shoddy journalism but surely our local newspaper/website should get their facts correct - very unprofessional IMO.
