FAO taffyapple - your meeting thread

Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:18 pm

I have a couple of questions for you as you like to debate.

1. Do you think this compromise was always the plan for Tan so once we got promoted he could become a hero off the pitch as well? (I take that as meaning hero on the pitch as in providing funds to build the squad)

For example, if we had stayed blue and got promoted it would have been same old without the drama but just going up. Here Tan has added a dramatic effect to our season and if he changes us back some will think of him more respectfully and image is everything to businessmen who do well.

2. Do you believe that this compromise comes at a financial cost or that now the dream of Premiership football is close Tan knows on the pitch efforts will see the club make money and can tone down the commercial avenues for a bit to keep the fans happy?

No abuse or claiming you to be a liar, just asking these questions on your opinion of the matter. :D

1) NO. If he wanted to be the 'hero' why the rebrand in the first place? It dont add up!

2) I dont know what the compromise will be, or if everyone will agree. Personally, had he brought the
red in with a Blue flash? or kept the Bluebird bigger on the badge I would have been happy. Change is
sometimes inevitable. But if it meant we would be a Club with serious ambitions to hit the Premiership
running then there would have been far less acrimony.

But lets make no mistake. No matter WHAT Tan did, there would have been a way for the ones with
the Anti-Malaysian agenda to turn it on its head and make him the bad guy. Remember he was getting
NO praise last season from some quarters. New manager, new squad, Play-off place, League Cup Final...
That was all down to the fairies that was... Tan had nothing to do with it

If we play in Blue shirt, Blue shorts and Blue socks next season with a Bluebird the size of a football on
the badge, the focus for knocking him will just move straight on to something else. People need to
start opening their eyes about all this. He has been the best thing to happen to this Club since I've been
watching City. But he has made one mistake, a big one. If he redresses it in the summer, then he HAS
to be forgiven, surely? Is there anyone on this board that WONT forgive him (remembering of course we
have had owners make far bigger, far more damaging and far more costly "mistakes"

You dont actually state what you consider the one mistake to be but imply that it is the shirt (or the badge?)

Yes if he changes it back he will be forgiven but for me, if he dont that is unforgivable. whatever league we play in. The whole change is a price not worth paying.

I sincerely hope your post about a meeting is correct but hes gone back on his word so many times he cannot be trusted

Didn't he say he swap the debt to equity once the debt with Sam was over?

If so then he never lied.

He hasn't lied about debt to equity, not at all.
If Tan does end up agreeing on a compromise then I think many fans will see him as a hero, in that he has listened to the fans and gone back on his plans.

This was FAO taffyapple. Stop butting into conversations that don't concern you, you three. God manners these days, some these kids need a good clip round the hear.

:? :? :?

Id already said APART from the rebrand. So its just the debt to equity then is it?

Take all the information on this issue you can, analyse it and you will see he CANNOT
do this while the Langstone bollocks is still outstanding. He would then become Cardiff
City, and Sam Hammam will jizz in his pants. Right now, Vincent Tan is NOT Cardiff
City, he is (to all intents and purposes) just another share holder who is chipping in
with money. Now you can blame Tan for not clearing up Langstone, or you can blame
Sam. Its a choice. My own thoughts take me back to when Sam had agreed to leave
the Club then at the last second demanded another £500k. Thats the kind of businessman
Tan is dealing with. Some will agree with my view, some won't. But either way, Tan has
NOT lied about the debt to equity. There is a fly in the ointment.

Has anyone heard or read a direct quite from Tan regarding this debt to equity as I haven't and nobody I have ever asked has either.

It's nonsense, and business idiocy to even contemplate he will do it. It's like buying a McDonalds cheeseburger for £80 when you know you can get the exact same one for 99p.

And there goes your job with Alan Sugar, no apprenticeship for you, ya dull sap

Right. I've answered far too many Roath Tragics this last two days.

Ignore button yet again.

Whether it is true or not Taffy one thing is for certain and that is you are hoping he is keeping the bluebird because if not you'll never step foot in the stadium again so you've been saying.

When I say something I mean it. Not like you, ya "im leaving this board" weapon.

You change your mind more often than you change political allegiances.

I find it unbelievable your back. you have no shame or pride
