Bristol City Tomorrow lets keep our noses Clean!

Fri Feb 15, 2013 2:37 pm

Big Derby for us tomorrow should be a great day with a good atmosphere inside the stadium with Bristol taking up their full allocation.

We have had our best season so far for as long as I can remember with NO arrests from either home or away supporters at the Cardiff city stadium. Lets not spoil it tomorrow by getting involved in anything off the pitch it isn't worth it. Nobody has anything to prove anymore lets just enjoy the occasion, and enjoy the league position we currently hold.

I am sure the majority of Bristol supporters are just coming across to cheer their team on, and savor a derby atmosphere without restrictions. Let them enjoy there day out as they did for us when we went to Ashton gate earlier in the season, and IF any of them are looking for trouble leave the police deal with it.

Now is not the time to get involved with trouble! league position for a start why get banned now for nothing? secondly our image has improved no end away from home and this is the best season for lack of restrictions since we were bottom of the league in the nineties.

Support the team with passion not aggression, and get behind them in full voice and lets do all our talking on the pitch.

I echo those sentiments...

Surely getting yourself a ban now after all those years of watching city climbing up the leagues would be utter lunacy now that we're on the verge of finally doing it :)

totally agree vince , will warn you there are loads coming but honestly get the feeling as long as were not confronted i think most fans are coming for a good day out with a few beers around the centre ( no doubt where the swp put us )
my only concern will be the idiot red/white wigs jester hats on who will even piss me off , i think theres enough respect from both sets of fans to know if they wanna punch up both sets of fans will oblige , you lot would be mad to spoil it for yourselves with the prem on the horizon , no doubt the we will be escourted down penarth road and along sloper road before the game i think thats where the friction may be if there are groups of cardiff hanging about on street corners goading etc , my agenda is to have a good drink steal 3 points and take a look at your leggo stadium , havnt been there since the 1-3 scott murrey show at ninian in 2001 i believe it was ,

shut up you Wurzel!! :)

I understand Scott Murray is now your kit man, should be interesting seeing him dropping the team's gear off with Dai Hunt lurking outside!

Good post, Vince. And worzel red! There was a great atmosphere at Ashton Gate earlier in the season, as I'm sure there will be tomorrow. For CCFC fans of my generation, this was always the big game. Now that the restrictions are gone, it should be in the future as well. Lets put the Severnside derby back where it belongs, the highlight of the season. :ayatollah:

Just want to reiterate what Vince has said, we have absolutely nothing to prove and anyone getting involved or looking for trouble will only spoil it for themselves on the day and in the near future.

We are on the brink of achieving what we have wanted for decades, promotion to the top flight. :ayatollah:

Don't ruin it for yourselves and don't ruin the good reputation that we, Cardiff City fans, have built up over the last ten years or so.

What we don't need now is a situation for other police forces next season to point the finger and use it for restrictions on ourselves next season, police use the last six months of intelligence to decide on what action to take on travelling fans and those of us who travel away regular and the name of our club will be tarnished if there is any bother tomorrow.

Of course there will be the odd drunk and disorderly but go and enjoy the day with mates and savour the atmosphere as it will be many years before we play them again I suspect in the direction both clubs are heading.

Great atmosphere in the ground i agree but personally saw nothing to bad outside ,we had a massive escourt to and from the station and your boys were either chucking things at our supporters coaches ( not a very brave thing to do ) or getting whacked by the police , to be fair to the police that day they kept 2 pretty big preying mobs pretty much away from each other all day
