Where did I give any opinion on the level of split?

Whatever side of the debate you are, you cannot deny that there is a split.

you didnt say how split, i offered my opinion on how split i think it is, is that ok with you?

The main split is on messageboards only, down the ground the amount of red shirts you see being worn is overwhelming. That says it all.

Overwhelming? Why are they having to bribe fans to wear red scarves then? With a good prize, but you gotta wear one to be entered.

The club love that sort of deal these days, just like - if you don't turn red, I won't give you any money...

Did I mention scarves?

I said the amount of SHIRTS is overwhelming, a fact which cannot be denied as they had record sales of red shirts.

Why dont you gift your ticket to a CCFC fan instead of touting it next season.

Cant take anything you say with any seriousness anymore.

I don,t class myself as a better fan then any other,be it they have supported the Club for 1 day or 30 years, but in my case and most of the mates who I go down the City with we have been going for 30 years or more and in the main, with one or two exceptions have accepted the changes for the benefit of the Clubs long term future.Do not think that because you are a die hard blue means you are a better fan than any other who have moved on with the changes.

^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^

SOME people (one or two and certainly not thousands) are making this a bigger issue than it really is ;)

VT's money, VT's decision, VT's perogative :ayatollah:

Not MY personal choice but then again not MY £millions that SAVED this club from a Pompey-like position (although I was one of the original 'Ambassadors' under Sam's regime if that has any pull   )

After the Sam/Ridsdale Sagas, I reluctantly ACCEPT the change to red in preference to EXTINCTION ;)

Hey, perhaps the NEW badge should have a PHOENIX, as opposed to a Dragon?  :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Im pretty sure it was mentioned on here, ok, ill scrub the word record and say an awful lot more red than blue shirts have been sold.

Well over 15,000 Red shirts have been sold.
Approx 3,000 Blue shirts have been sold incl the baby growers.
There has not been a new batch of Blue shirts as some have said, the delivery was part of the original batch which are usually in 5,000, On this occasion we had 2 deliveries for one batch.
As to the Red delivery batches in December we had a bigger than usual, 7,000 delivery of Red shirts which were not due till January, but due to the demand were ordered and delivered earlier.
Just before Xmas on one day alone approx a 1,000 Red shirts were sold with fans queuing over an hour to buy them.

Thats from Annis in an update a few weeks back.

The question is would their fans accept £100m investment condition change shirt colour?
Given their position majority would accept it! Same for any club in same position.
We have been on breadline since at least 1978, if you know city in that year fans
Were asked to chip in to save club from going bust! cant have cake and eat it?

Friend is a huge Pompey fan and he said he'd take it in a heartbeat. Whole club is in meltdown and the courtsdrag their heels, no one knows what's going on. I'd take any form of stability over that.

Trouble with the fans against tan, is that they are so blind they ignore financial
Mess we've been in, and now just say its about plastic fans wanting premier football, well its not its about stablity we have not had for 35yrs at least. The club is far more important than the colour they play in?
And all fans should think same but unfortunately they dont! Blue and oblivion is preferable to red , so they say!

Spot on. Top post.

Its all being blamed on the "new fans", thats a load of bollocks. I have been 20+ years following City, so have most of my mates, and we are happy to see City winning, and as you say accepting the changes for the benefit of the club.

We went through the shit times, now we are embracing the good times. Prefer to be in blue obviously, but the team winning is more important than what colour shirts they are wearing.
